2 UDB येशूका चेलाहरूले प्रायः आफ्ना हातहरू नाधोइकन खाना खाएको फरिसीहरूले देखे। BSB BSB: and they saw some of His disciples eating with hands that were defiled—that is, unwashed.
3 UDB तिनीहरू र अरू सबै यहूदीहरू आफ्ना पुर्खाहरूले सिकाएका आफ्नो परम्परालाई कठोर रूपमा पालन गर्छन्। आफ्ना कचौराहरू, भाँडाहरू, ताप्केहरू, बाकसहरू र ओछ्यानहरू प्रयोग गर्दा परमेश्वरले तिनीहरूलाई नत्याग्नुभएको होस् भन्ने हेतुले तिनीहरूले यी सबै कुराहरू विशेष किसिमले धुन्थे। BSB BSB: Now in holding to the tradition of the elders, the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat until they wash their hands ceremonially.

And there are many other traditions for them to observe, including the washing of cups, pitchers, kettles, and couches for dining.
5 UDB त्यो दिन, उहाँका चेलाहरूमध्ये कसैले यहूदी संस्कारअनुसार आफ्ना हातहरू बिशेष किसिमले नधोइकन खाएको ती फरिसीहरू र यहूदी व्यवस्था सिकाउने मानिसहरूले देखे। यसैले तिनीहरूले येशूलाई प्रश्न गरे र भने, “हाम्रा अगुवाहरू परम्परालाई तपाईंका चेलाहरूले पालन गर्दैन! तिनीहरूले हाम्रो विधि अनुसार आफ्ना हातहरू धोएका छैनन् भने तिनीहरू कि खाना खान्छन्!” BSB BSB: So the Pharisees and scribes questioned Jesus: “Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders? Instead, they eat with defiled hands.”
6 UDB येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “यशैयाले तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूलाई हकारे र असल बन्ने बाहाना मात्र गर्ने तिमीहरू जस्ता मानसहरूका बारेमा तिनका शब्दहरूले राम्रो वर्णन गर्छ! परमेश्वरले भन्नुभएका यी वचनहरू तिनले लेखेका छन्: ‘यी मनिसहरूले मलाई आदर गर्नेजस्तै कुरा गर्छन् तर तिनीहरूले मलाई आदर गर्ने बारेमा साँचो किसमले विचार गर्दैनन्।” BSB BSB: Jesus answered them, “Isaiah prophesied correctly about you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.
7 UDB तिनीहरूले मेरो आराधना गर्नु अर्थहिन छ, किनभने मानिसले भनेका कुरालाई मैले नै आज्ञा गरेजस्तै तिनीहरूले मानसिहरूलाई सिकाउँछन्।’ BSB BSB: They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’
8 UDB तिमीहरू पनि आफ्ना पुर्खाहरूजस्तै, परमेश्वरले जे आज्ञा गर्नुभएको छ त्यो गर्न अस्वीकार गर्छौ। त्यसको सटोमा, अरूले सिकाएका परम्पराको अनुसरण गर्ने काम मात्र तिमीहरू गर्छौ।” BSB BSB: You have disregarded the commandment of God to keep the tradition of men.”
10 UDB उदाहरणको निम्ति, हाम्रा पुर्खा मोशाले परमेश्वरको आज्ञा लेखे, ‘आफ्नो बुबा र आमाको आदर गर।’ तिनले यो पनि लेखे, ‘आफ्नो बुबा वा आमाको विरूद्धमा दुष्ट कुरा बोल्नेलाई अधिकारीहरूले मार्नुपर्छ।’ BSB BSB: For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’ and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’
11 UDB तर मानिसहरूले आफ्ना बुबाआमालाई सहयात गर्दैनन् भने पनि ठिकै छ भनी तिमीहरू तिनीहरूलाई सिकाउँछौ। मानिसहरूसँग भएका कुरा आफ्ना बुबाआमालाई दिनुको साटोमा परमेश्वरलाई दिनेछु भन्छन् भने त्यो ठीक छ भनी तिमीहरू तिनीहरूलाई सिकाउँछौ। BSB BSB: But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, ‘Whatever you would have received from me is Corban’ (that is, a gift devoted to God),
12 UDB तिनीहरूले आफ्ना बाबुआमालाई यसो भन्ने अनुमति तिमीहरू दिन्छौ, ‘मैले तपाईहरुको खाँचो पूरा गर्न जे दिन लाग्दै थिएँ, त्यो अब मैले परमेश्वरलाई दिने भाकल गरेको छु। यसैले म अब फेरि तपाईंहरूको मद्धत गर्न सक्दिन!” परिणामस्वरूप, तिमीहरूले मानिसहरूलाई वास्तवमा यसो भन्दैछौ कि तिनीहरूले आफ्ना बुबाआमाको सहायता नगरे पनि हुन्छ। BSB BSB: he is no longer permitted to do anything for his father or mother.
13 UDB यसरी तिमीहरूले परमेश्वरले आज्ञालाई बेवास्ता गर्यौ! तिमीहरूले अरूहरूलाई तिमीहरूका आफ्नै कुराहरू सिकाउँछौ र तिनीहरूले ती पालन गर्नुपर्छ भनी तिमीहरू तिनीहरूलाई भन्छौ! अनि तिमीहरू अरू त्यस्तै धेरै कुराहरू गर्छौ।” BSB BSB: Thus you nullify the word of God by the tradition you have handed down. And you do so in many such matters.”
15 UDB मानिसहरूले खाने कुनै कुराले पनि परमेश्वरलाई तिनीहरू अशुद्ध हुन् भनी विचार गर्ने बनाउँदैन। त्यसको साटोमा, मानिसहरूको अन्तस्करणबाट आउने कुराले परमेश्वरलाई तिनीहरू अशुद्ध हुन् भनी विचार गर्ने बनाउँछ। BSB BSB: Nothing that enters a man from the outside can defile him; but the things that come out of a man, these are what defile him.”
16 UDB यदि कोही मानिसको सुन्ने कान छ भने त्यसले सुनोस्। BSB BSB: Not in the BSB
17 UDB येशूले भीिडलाई छोड्नुभएपछि, उहाँ चेलाहरूसँगै एउटा घरभित्र पस्नुभयो। येशूले भर्खरै भन्नुभएको दृष्टान्तको विषयमा तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई सोधे। BSB BSB: After Jesus had left the crowd and gone into the house, His disciples inquired about the parable.
19 UDB हाम्रो समझभित्र पस्नु र नाश पार्नुको साटोमा त्यो हाम्रो पेटभित्र जान्छ र पछि त्यसको अवशेष हाम्रो शरीरबाट बाहिर जान्छ।” मानसिहरूले कुनै पनि कुरा खाएकोमा परमेश्वरले तिनीहरू आशुद्ध भएको विचार गर्नुहुन्न भनेर येशूले घोषणा गर्दै हुनुहुन्थ्यो। BSB BSB: because it does not enter his heart, but it goes into the stomach and then is eliminated.” (Thus all foods are clean.)
20 UDB उहाँले यो पनि भन्नुभयो, “मानिसहरूको भित्रबाट आउने विचारहरू र कामहरूले गर्दा परमेश्वरले तिनीहरूलाई अशुद्ध मान्नुहुन्छ। BSB BSB: He continued: “What comes out of a man, that is what defiles him.
21 UDB विशेषगरी, मानिसहरूको अन्तस्करणबाट आउने कुराले तिनीहरूलाई दुष्ट विचारका कुराहरू सोच्ने बनाउँछ; तिनीहरू अनैतिक रूपमा काम गर्छन्, तिनीहरू चिजबिजहरू चोर्छन्, तिनीहरू हत्या गर्छन्, BSB BSB: For from within the hearts of men come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery,
22 UDB तिनीहरूले व्यभिचार गर्छन्, तिनीहरू लोभी हुन्छन्, तिनीहरू खराब मनले काम गर्छन्, तिनीहरूले मानिसहरूलाई छल गर्छन्। तिनीहरू अभद्र व्यवहार गर्छन्, तिनीहरू मानिसहरूको ईर्ष्या गर्छन्, तिनीहरू अरूहरूका बारेमा दुष्ट कुरा बोल्छन्, तिनीहरू अहंकारी हुन्छन् र तिनीहरू मूर्खतापूर्ण काम गर्छन्। BSB BSB: greed, wickedness, deceit, debauchery, envy, slander, arrogance, and foolishness.
23 UDB मानिसहरूले यस्ता विचारहरू सोच्छन् र त्यसपछि तिनीहरू यस्ता दुष्ट कामहरू गर्छन्, र यिीनै कुराहरूले गर्दा तिनीहरूलाई परमेश्वरले अशुद्ध मान्नुहुन्छ।” BSB BSB: All these evils come from within, and these are what defile a man.”
24 UDB येशू र उहाँका चेलाहरूले गालील छोड्नुभएपछि र उहाँहरू टायर र सिदोन सहरहरूका वरिपरि जानुभयो। उहाँ कुनै घरमा बस्नुहुँदा, कसैले थाहा नपाउन् भन्ने उहाँको इच्छा थियो, तर उहाँ त्यहाँ हुनुहुन्छ भनेर मानिसहरूले तुरून्तै पत्ता लगाए। BSB BSB: Jesus left that place and went to the region of Tyre. Not wanting anyone to know He was there, He entered a house, but was unable to escape their notice.
25 UDB आफ्नी छोरीलाई दुष्ट आत्माले सताएको कोही एकजना स्त्रीले येशूको बारेमा सुनिन्। तिनी तुरुन्तै उहाँकहाँ आइन् र उहाँको पाउमा घुँडा टेकिन्। BSB BSB: Instead, a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit soon heard about Jesus, and she came and fell at His feet.
26 UDB यो स्त्री यहूदी थिइनन्। तिनको पुर्खाहरू यहूदी थिएनन्। तिनी आफैं पनि सिरिया जिल्लाको फोनिसिया क्षेत्रमा जन्मेकी थिइन्। तिनले येशूसँग आफ्नो छोरीबाट दुष्टलाई निकाल्नलाई बिन्ति गरिन्। BSB BSB: Now she was a Greek woman of Syrophoenician origin, and she kept asking Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter.
28 UDB तिनले उहाँलाई जवाफ दिइन्, “गुरूज्यू, तपाईंले भन्नु भएको कुरा ठिक हो, तर टेवलमुनि बस्ने घरका कुकुरले पनि त छोराछोरीले झारेका टुक्राहरू खान्छन्।” BSB BSB: “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.”
30 UDB त्यो स्त्री आफ्नो घरमा फर्केर गइन् र आफ्नी छोरीलाई ओछ्यानमा शान्तसँग सुतिराखेको देखिन् र दुष्टले आत्माले तिनले छाडेको थियो। BSB BSB: And she went home and found her child lying on the bed, and the demon was gone.
31 UDB येशू र उहाँका चेलाहरूले टायर वरिपिको क्षेत्र छोड्नुभयो र उत्तरको सिदोंनमा र पुर्वको दश नगरहरूका इलाका, र दक्षिणमा गालीलको समुद्रको नजीकका नगरहरूमा जानुभयो। BSB BSB: Then Jesus left the region of Tyre and went through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee and into the region of the Decapolis.
32 UDB त्यहाँ मानिसहरूले उहाँकहाँ कान नसुन्ने र बोल्ने नसक्ने एकजना मानिसलाई ल्याए। उसलाई निको पार्नको निम्ति येशूले आफ्ना हातहरू उसमाथि राखून् भनी तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई बिन्ति गरे। BSB BSB: Some people brought to Him a man who was deaf and hardly able to speak, and they begged Jesus to place His hand on him.
33 UDB यसैले येशूले र उसँग मत्र हुनको निम्ति उसलाई भिडबाट टाढा लानुभयो। त्यसपछि उहाँले त्यो मानिसका दुबै कानमा उसका एक-एकवटा औंला राख्न लागाउनुभयो। उहाँले आफ्ना औंलाहरूमा थुक्नु भएपछि, उहाँले आफ्ना औंलाहरूले त्यो मानिसको जिब्रोलाई छुनुभयो। BSB BSB: So Jesus took him aside privately, away from the crowd, and put His fingers into the man’s ears. Then He spit and touched the man’s tongue.
34 UDB त्यसपछि उहाँले स्वर्गतिर हेर्नुभयो, उहाँले संकेत गर्नुभयो, त्यसपछि त्यो मानिसको आफ्नै भाषामा उहाँले उसलाई भन्नुभयो, “इफ्फाता” जसको अर्थहुन्छ, ‘खोलिजा’। BSB BSB: And looking up to heaven, He sighed deeply and said to him, “Ephphatha!” (which means, “Be opened!”).
35 UDB तुरुन्तै, त्यो मानिसले राम्रोसँग सुन्न सक्यो। उसले स्पष्टसँग बोल्न पनि सुरु गर्यो, किनभने जे कुराले उसलाई बोल्न नसक्ने बनाएको थियो त्यो निको भयो। BSB BSB: Immediately the man’s ears were opened and his tongue was released, and he began to speak plainly.
36 UDB येशू जे गर्नुभएको थियो त्यो कसैलाई पनि नमान्नु भनी उहाँले मानिसहरूलाई भन्नुभयो। तर, उहाँले तिनीहरू र अरूहरूलाई त्यसको बारेमा कसैलाई पनि नभन्नु भनी दोहोर्याइ-दोहोर्याइ भन्नुभए तापनि, तिनीहरूले त्यसको बारेमा झन् धेरै कुरा गर्दै रहे। BSB BSB: Jesus ordered them not to tell anyone. But the more He ordered them, the more widely they proclaimed it.
37 UDB त्यसको बारेमा सुन्ने मानिसहरू पूर्णरूपले छक्क परे र भन्दै थिए, “उहाँले गर्नुभएका हरेक कुरा अचम्मका छन्! अरू अचम्मका कामहरू गर्नुबाहेक उहाँले कान नसुन्नेलाई पनि कान सुन्ने बनाउनुहुन्छ। र उहाँले सुन्न नसक्ने मानिसहरूलाई सुन्न सक्ने बनाउनुहुन्छ!” BSB BSB: The people were utterly astonished and said, “He has done all things well! He makes even the deaf hear and the mute speak!”
