1 UDB ती दिनहरूमा, फेरि पनि मानिसहरूको एउटा ठूलो भिड जम्मा भयो। तिनीहरू त्यहाँ दुईदिन बसेपछि, तिनीहरूसँग खानलाई केही खानेकुरा पनि भएन। यसैले येशूले चेलाहरूलाई आफ्नो नजिक बोलाउनुभयो, र उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, BSB BSB: In those days the crowd once again became very large, and they had nothing to eat. Jesus called the disciples to Him and said,
2 UDB “यी मानिसहरू यहाँ मसँग बसेको यो तेस्रो दिन हो, र तिनीहरूसँग खानलाई केही पानी बाँकी छैन, यसैले अब, म तिनीहरूको निम्ति धेरै चिन्तित छु। BSB BSB: “I have compassion for this crowd, because they have already been with Me three days and have nothing to eat.
3 UDB तिनीहरू भोकै हुँदा मैले तिनीहरूलाई घर पठाएँ भनें, तिनीहरूमध्ये कोही घर फर्कने बाटोमा नै बेहोस भएर ढल्नेछन्। तिनीहरूमध्ये कोही धेरै टाढाबाट आएका छन्।” BSB BSB: If I send them home hungry, they will faint along the way. For some of them have come a great distance.”
4 UDB तिनीहरूले मानिसहरूलाई केही कुरा खान दिनुपर्छ भनी उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई सुझाव दिंदै हुनुहुन्थ्यो भनी चेलाहरूले बुझे, यसैले तिनीहरूमध्ये एकजनाले जवाफ दिए, “हामी सायद यस भिडलाई खान पुग्ने खाना जुटाउन सक्दैनौं। यसै ठाउँमा बस्ने कोही पनि छैन!” BSB BSB: His disciples replied, “Where in this desolate place could anyone find enough bread to feed all these people?”
5 UDB येशूले तिनीहरूलाई सोध्नुभयो, “तिमीहरूसँग कति ओटा रोटीहरू छन्?” तिनीहरूले जवाफ दिए, “हामीसँग सातओटा पातला रोटीहरू छन्। BSB BSB: “How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked. “Seven,” they replied.
6 UDB येशूले भिडलाई आज्ञा दिनुभयो, “चाउरमा बस!” तिनीहरू बसेपछि, उहाँले ती सात रोटीहरू लिनुभयो र तिनका लागि परमेश्वरलाई धन्यवाद दिनुभयो, ती भाँचेर टुक्रा पार्नुभयो र मानिसहरूलाई बाँडून् भनी ती चेलाहरूलाई दिनुभयो। BSB BSB: And He instructed the crowd to sit down on the ground. Then He took the seven loaves, gave thanks and broke them, and gave them to His disciples to set before the people. And they distributed them to the crowd.
7 UDB तिनीहरूसँग केही स-साना माछाहरू पनि थिए भनी तिनीहरूले थाहा पाए। यसैले त्यसका निम्ति परमेश्वरलाई धन्यवाद दिनुभएपछि उहाँले चेलाहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “यि पनि बाँड।” तिनीहरूले माछाहरू भिडलाई बाँडीसकेपछि, BSB BSB: They also had a few small fish, and Jesus blessed them and ordered that these be set before them as well.
8 UDB मानिसहरूले यो खाना खाए, र तिनीहरू सन्तुष्ट हुनलाई प्रसस्त भयो। बचेका खानाका टुक्राहरूलाई चेलाहरूले जम्मा गरे र सातवटा ठुला डालाहरू भरे। BSB BSB: The people ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
9 UDB त्यस दिनमा करिब चार हजार जति मानिसहरूले खाना खाएका थिए भनी चेलाहरूले अनुमान गरे। त्यसपछि येशूले भिडलाई विदा गर्नुभयो। BSB BSB: And about four thousand men were present. And when Jesus had dismissed the crowd,
10 UDB त्यसपछि तुरुन्तै, आफ्ना चेलाहरूसँगै उहाँ डुंगामा चढ्नुभयो, र उहाँहरू गालीलको समुद्रको छेउमा दलमनुथा जिल्लामा जानुभयो। BSB BSB: He immediately got into the boat with His disciples and went to the district of Dalmanutha.
11 UDB त्यसपछि केही फरिसीहरू येशूकहाँ आए। परमेश्वरले उहाँलाई पठाउनुभएको थियो भनी देखाउनलाई उहाँले एउटा आश्चर्यकर्म गर्नुपर्छ भन्ने कुरा गर्दै तिनीहरूले उहाँसँग बादबिवाद गर्न सुरु गरे। BSB BSB: Then the Pharisees came and began to argue with Jesus, testing Him by demanding from Him a sign from heaven.
12 UDB येशूले आफैंमा लामो सास लिनुभयो, र उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरू मलाई किन आश्चर्यकर्म गर्न भन्दैछौ? म तिमीहरूको लागि आश्चर्यकर्म गर्ने छैन!” BSB BSB: Jesus sighed deeply in His spirit and said, “Why does this generation demand a sign? Truly I tell you, no sign will be given to this generation.”
13 UDB त्यसपछि उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई छोड्नुभयो। उहाँ आफ्ना चेलाहरूसँगै फेरि डुंगामा चढ्नुभयो, र उहाँहरू गालील समुद्र वरिपरि अझ अगाडि जानुभयो। BSB BSB: And He left them, got back into the boat, and crossed to the other side.
14 UDB चेलाहरूले आफ्नो साथमा पर्याप्त खाना लिएर आउन बिर्सेका थिए। खासगरी तिनीहरूसँग डुंगामा एउटा पातलो रोटी मात्र थियो। BSB BSB: Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat.
15 UDB जसै तिनीहरू जाँदै थिए, येशूले तिनीहरूलाई चेतावनी दिनुभयो र भन्नुभयो, “होसियार रहो! फरिसीहरू र हेरोदको खामिरदेखि होसियार रहो!” BSB BSB: “Watch out!” He cautioned them. “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of Herod.”
16 UDB चेलाहरूले उहाँको कुरालाई गलत बुझे। यसैले तिनीहरूले एक आपसमा भने, “हामीसँग रोटी नभएको कारणले उहाँले त्यसो भन्नुभएको हुनुपर्छ।” BSB BSB: So they began to discuss with one another the fact that they had no bread.
17 UDB तिनीहरू आफ्नो माझमा के कुरा छलफल गर्दै थिए भनी येशूले थाहा पाउनुभयो। यसैले उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “येथेष्ट रोटी नभएको बारेमा तिमीहरू किन कुरा गर्दैछौ?” अहिलेसम्म त मैले भनेको कुरा तिमीहरूले बुझ्नु पर्छ! तिमीहरू विचार गर्दैनौ! BSB BSB: Aware of their conversation, Jesus asked them, “Why are you debating about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Do you have such hard hearts?
18 UDB तिमीहरूसँग आँखाँ छन्, तर तिमीहरूले देखेका कुरा तिमीहरू बुझ्दैनौ! तिमीहरूसँग कान छन्, तर तिमीहरूले सुनेका कुरा तिमीहरू बुझ्दैनौ!” तब उहाँले सोध्नुभयो, “के तिमीहरूलाई यस अघि के भयो सम्झना छैन BSB BSB: ‘Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear?’ And do you not remember?
19 UDB जब मैले पाँचवटा रोटी मात्र भाचें र त्यो पाँच हजार मानिसहरूलाई खुवाएँ? हरेक सबै सन्तुष्ट भएका मात्र थिएनन् तर त्यहाँ खाना बचेको पनि थियो! बचेका रोटीका टुक्राहरूबाट तिमीहरूले कति डालामा जम्मा गरेका थियौ?” तिनीहरूले जवाफ दिए, “हामीले बाह्र डालाभरि जम्मा गर्यौं।” BSB BSB: When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many basketfuls of broken pieces did you collect?” “Twelve,” they answered.
20 UDB तब उहाँले सोध्नुभयो, “जब मैले चार हजार मानिसहरूलाई खुवाउनलाई सातवटा रोटी भाचें, फेरि हरेकले प्रसस्त खाए, बचेका रोटीका टुक्राहरूबाट तिमीहरूले कतिवटा ठूला डालामा जम्मा गरेका थियौ?” तिनीहरूले जवाफ दिए, “हामीले सातवटा ठूला डालाभरि जम्मा गर्यौं।” BSB BSB: “And when I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many basketfuls of broken pieces did you collect?” “Seven,” they said.
21 UDB त्यसपछि उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “के तिमीहरू बुज्दैनौ?” BSB BSB: Then He asked them, “Do you still not understand?”
22 UDB उहाँहरू डुंगामा बेथसेदा पुग्नुभयो। मानिसहरूले एकजना दृष्टिविहीन मानिसलाई येशूकहाँ ल्याए र त्यस मानिसलाई निको पार्नको लागिु त्यसलाई छोइदिन उहाँसँग बिन्ति गरे। BSB BSB: When they arrived at Bethsaida, some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him.
23 UDB येशूले त्य दृष्टिविहीन मानिसको हात समाउनुभयो र उसलाई नगरबाहिर लानुभयो। त्यसपछि उहाँले त्यो मानिसको आँखामा थुक्नुभयो, उहाँले आफ्ना हातहरू त्यो मानिसमाथि राख्नुभयो र तब उसलाई सोध्नुभयो, “के तिमी केही कुरा देख्छौ?” BSB BSB: So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village. Then He spit on the man’s eyes and placed His hands on him. “Can you see anything?” He asked.
24 UDB त्य मानिसले माथि हेर्यो र उसले भन्यो, “हो म मानिसहरूलाई देख्छु! तिनीहरू वरिपरि हिंड्दैछन्, तर म तिनीहरूलाई स्पष्ट रूपले देख्न सक्दिन। तिनीहरू रूखजस्तै देखिन्छन्!” BSB BSB: The man looked up and said, “I can see the people, but they look like trees walking around.”
25 UDB त्यसपछि येशूले फेरि त्यो दृष्टिविहीन मानिसको आँखा छुनुभयो। तब त्यो मानिसले एकोहोरो हेर्यो, र त्यो क्षणमा ऊ पूर्णरूपमा निको भयो! उसले हरेक कुरा स्पष्ट देख्न सक्यो। BSB BSB: Once again Jesus placed His hands on the man’s eyes, and when he opened them his sight was restored, and he could see everything clearly.
26 UDB येशूले त्यसलाई भन्नुभयो, “सहर तिर नजाऊ!” त्यसपछि उहाँले त्यस मानिसलाई आफ्नो घरमा पठाउनुभयो। BSB BSB: Jesus sent him home and said, “Do not go back into the village.”
28 UDB तिनीहरूले जवाफ दिए, “कोही मानिसहरू तपाईंलाई बप्तिस्मा दिने यूहन्ना हो भन्छन्। अरूले तपाईंलाई एलिया अगमवक्ता हो भन्छन्। र अरूले तपाईंलाई पहिलेका अगमवक्ताहरूमध्येका एकजना हो भन्छन्।” BSB BSB: They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets.”
29 UDB उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई सोध्नुभयो, “तिमीहरू के भन्छौ? म को हुँ भनी तिमीहरू भन्छौ?” पत्रुसले उहाँलाई जवाफ दिए, “तपाईं ख्रीष्ट हुनुहुन्छ!” BSB BSB: “But what about you?” Jesus asked. “Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Christ.”
30 UDB तब यशूले तिनीहरूलाई कडारूपमा चेतावनी दिनुभयो कि उहाँ ख्रीष्ट हुनुहुन्छ भनी तिनीहरूले अझै कसैलाई भन्नुहुँदैन। BSB BSB: And Jesus warned them not to tell anyone about Him.
32 UDB यो कुरा उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई स्पष्टरूपमा भन्नुभयो। तर पत्रुसले येशूलाई एकापट्टी छेउमा लिएर गए र यसरी बोल्नुभएको भनेर उहाँलाई हकार्न लागे। BSB BSB: He spoke this message quite frankly, and Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him.
33 UDB येशू पछाडि फर्कनुभयो र आफ्ना चेलाहरूलाई हेर्नुभयो। तब उहाँले पत्रुसलाई यसो भन्दै हकार्नुभयो”, “यस्तो विचार नगर! शैतानले तँलाई यस्तो कुरा गर्न लगाउँदैछ! मैले परमेश्वरको इच्छा पूरा गर्नुको साटोमा मैले मानिसहरूको इच्छा मात्र पूरा गरेको तँ चाहन्छस्।” BSB BSB: But Jesus, turning and looking at His disciples, rebuked Peter and said, “Get behind Me, Satan! For you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.”
34 UDB त्यसपछि उहाँले चेलाहरूसँगै भिडलाई पनि बोलाउनुभयो जसले गर्दा तिनीहरूले उहाँका कुरा सुन्न सकून्। उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरूमध्ये कसैले मेरो चेला बन्ने इच्छा गर्छौ भने, आफ्नो जीवन जीउनलाई सजिलो हुने काम मात्र तिमीहरूले गर्नु हुदैन। क्रुसमा टाँग्न लगिंदै गरेका अपराधिहरूलाई आफ्ना क्रूसहरू बोक्न बाध्य बनाइएझैं तिमीहरू कष्ट भोग्नलाई तयार हुनुपर्छ। मेरो चेला हुन इच्छा गर्ने व्यक्तिले त्यस्तै गर्नुपर्छ। BSB BSB: Then Jesus called the crowd to Him along with His disciples, and He told them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.
35 UDB तिमीहरूले त्यसो गर्नैपर्छ किनभने मेरा चेला हुन् भन्ने कुरालाई इन्कार गरेर आफ्नो जीवन बाँचाउन कोसिस गर्नेहरूले आफ्नो जीवन गुमाउनेछ। मेरा चेलाहरू भएको कारणले र अरूहरूलाई सुसमाचार सुनाएको कारणले मारिनेहरू सदासर्वदा मसित जीवित रहनेछन्। BSB BSB: For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and for the gospel will save it.
36 UDB यस संसारमा मानिसहरूले आफूले इच्छा गरेको कुनै पनि कुरा प्राप्त गर्न सक्छन्, तर तिनीहरूले अनन्त जीवन पाउँदैनन् भने, तिनीहरूले साँच्चै केही पनि पाएका हुँदैनन्। BSB BSB: What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?
37 UDB यो कुरालाई होशियार भएर विचार गर कि मानिसहरूले अनन्त जीवन पाउनलाई तिनीहरूले परमेश्वरलाई दिन सक्ने कुनै पनि कुरा छैन। BSB BSB: Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?
38 UDB र यो कुराको बारेमा विचार गरः जसले आफूलाई मेरा चेला हुन् भन्न इन्कार गर्छ, र धेरै मानिसहरू पमेश्वरबाट फर्केको यो समय, यी दिनहरूमा मैले भनेका कुरालाई इन्कार गर्छ र अति पापपूर्ण जीवन छ भने, जब म पवित्र स्वर्गदूतहरूका साथमा आउँछु र मेरा पिता महिमामा हुन्छु, म, मानिसको पुत्रले पनि तिनीहरू मेरा चेला हुन् भन्न इन्कार गर्नेछु!” BSB BSB: If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in His Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
