1 UDB त्यसपछि शैतानले येशूको परीक्षा गरोस् भनी परमेश्वरको आत्माले उहाँलाई उजाड-स्थानमा लानुभयो। BSB BSB: Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
2 UDB चालिस दिनसम्म दिन र रात उहाँले खाना नखाएपछि, उहाँ भोकाउनु भयो। BSB BSB: After fasting forty days and forty nights, He was hungry.
3 UDB शैतान, परिक्षक उहाँकहाँ आयो र भन्यो “यदि तपाईं साच्चै परमेश्वरका पुत्र हुनुहुन्छ भने, यी ढुङ्गाहरूलाई तपाईंको निम्ति रोटी हुनलाई भन्नुहोस्!” BSB BSB: The tempter came to Him and said, “If You are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
4 UDB तर येशूले त्यसलाई भन्नुभयो, “होइन! म यो गर्ने छैन किनभने धर्मशास्त्रमा परमेश्वरले भन्नुभएको छ, ‘मानिसहरूलाई साँच्चिकै जिउनका लागि, खानाभन्दा पनि बढी कुरा तिनीहरूसँग हुनुपर्छ; परमेश्वरले बोल्नुभएको हरेक वचन तिनीहरूले सुन्नुपर्छ।’” BSB BSB: But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
5 UDB त्यसपछि शैतानले येशूलाई परमेश्वरको निम्ति विशेष सहर यरूशलेममा लग्यो। त्यसले उहाँलाई मन्दिरको सबभन्दा अग्लो भागमा राख्यो BSB BSB: Then the devil took Him to the holy city and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple.
6 UDB र उहाँलाई भन्यो, “यदि तपाईं साँच्चै परमेश्वरको पुत्र हुनुहुन्छ भने, जमिनमा हाम फाल्नुहोस्। तपाईंलाई वस्तवमै चोट लाग्ने छैन, किनभने परमेश्वरले धर्मशास्त्रमा भन्नुभएको छ, ‘परमेश्वरले स्वर्गदूतहरूलाई तपाईंको सुरक्षा गर्न आज्ञा गर्नुहुने छ। तपाईं तल झर्दै गर्दा तिनीहरूले तपाईंलाई आफ्ना हातहरूमा उचाल्ने छन् र तपाईंको खुट्टा ढुङ्गामा ठोकिनबाट तिनीहरुले तपाईंलाई जोगाउने छन्।’” BSB BSB: “If You are the Son of God,” he said, “throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He will command His angels concerning You, and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’”
7 UDB तर येशूले भन्नुभयो, “होइन! म तल हामफाल्ने छैन, किनभने परमेश्वरले पनि धर्मशास्त्रमा भन्नुभएको छ, ‘उहाँ को हुनुहुन्छ भनी आफ्नो परमेश्वरलाई प्रमाणित गर्न लगाउने कोसिस नगर।’” BSB BSB: Jesus replied, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
8 UDB त्यसपछि शैतानले उहाँलाई एउटा धेरै अग्लो पहाडको चुचुरोमा लग्यो। संसारमा भएका सबै राज्यहरू र ती राज्यहरूमा भएका वैभवशाली कुराहरू त्यहाँ त्यसले उहाँलाई देखायो। BSB BSB: Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
9 UDB तब त्यसले उहाँलाई भन्यो, “यदि तपाईं घोप्टो पर्नुभयो र मेरो आराधना गर्नुभयो भने,बम तपाईंलाई यी सबै राज्यहरूमा शासन गर्न दिने छु र तिनीहरूमा भएका वैभवशाली कुराहरू तपाईंलाई दिने छु।” BSB BSB: “All this I will give You,” he said, “if You will fall down and worship me.”
10 UDB तर येशूले त्यसलाई भन्नुभयोः “होइन! म तेरो आराधना गर्ने छैन, शैतान, यसैले दूर गइहाल! परमेश्वरले धर्मशास्त्रमा भन्नुभएको छ, ‘परमप्रभु आफ्ना परमेश्वरमा मात्र तैँले घोप्टो पर्नुपर्छ र उहाँको मात्र आराधना गर्नुपर्छ!’” BSB BSB: “Away from Me, Satan!” Jesus told him. “For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.’”
11 UDB त्यसपछि शैतान त्यहाँबाट गयो, र त्यो क्षणमा, स्वर्गदूतहरू येशूकहाँ आए र उहाँको रखदेख गरे। BSB BSB: Then the devil left Him, and angels came and ministered to Him.
12 UDB येशू यहूदिया प्रान्तमा हुनुहुँदा, बप्तिस्मा दिने यूहन्नाका चेलाहरू आए र हेरोद राजाले यूहन्नालाई झ्यालखानमा हाले भनी उहाँलाई भने। यसैले येशू गालील जिल्लाको नासरत नगरमा फर्कनुभयो। BSB BSB: When Jesus heard that John had been imprisoned, He withdrew to Galilee.
13 UDB त्यसपछि उहाँले नासरत छोड्नुभयो र बसोबास गर्नको निम्ति कफर्नहुम सहरमा जानुभयो। कफर्नहुम गालील समुद्रको छेउमा पहिलेको जबूलून र नप्ताली कुलहरूको क्षेत्रमा अवस्थित थियो। BSB BSB: Leaving Nazareth, He went and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,
14 UDB उहाँ त्यहाँ जानुभयो ता कि यशैया अगमवक्ताले धेरै अघि लेखेका वचनहरू पुरा हुन सकोस्: BSB BSB: to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
15 UDB “जबूलून र नप्तालीको क्षेत्र, यर्दन नदीको पुर्वमा भएको, समुद्रमा जाने बाटोको क्षेत्रहरू, गालीलका क्षेत्रहरू, धेरै गैर-इस्राएलीहरूका बासस्थान! BSB BSB: “Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles—
16 UDB ती मानिसहरू अन्धकारमा भएझैँ, तिनीहरूले परमेश्वरलाई चिन्दैनन्, तर तेजिलो प्रकाश तिनीहरूमाथि चम्किएझैँ, तिनीहरूले सत्य जान्नेछन्। हो, तिनीहरू मर्नलाई अत्यन्तै डराएका छन्, तर तजिलो प्रकाश तिनीहरूमाथि चम्केको छ!” BSB BSB: the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned.”
17 UDB त्यस समयमा, येशू कफर्नहुम सहरमा हुनुहुँदा, उहाँले मानिसहरूलाई प्रचार गर्न सुरु गर्नुभयो, “स्वर्गबाट परमेश्वरको राज्य चाँडै आउँदै छ, र उहाँले राज्य गर्नुहुँदा उहाँले तिमीहरूको न्याय गर्नुहुने छ। यसैले पाप गर्न छोड!” BSB BSB: From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”
18 UDB एकदिन येशू गालीलको समुद्र छेउमा हिँड्दै गर्नुहुदाँ, उहाँले दुईजना मानिसहरू, सिमोन जसलाई पछि पत्रुस भनियो र तिनको भाइ अन्द्रियासलाई देख्नुभयो। तिनीहरू पानीमा आफ्ना माछा मार्ने जाल हान्दै थिए, किनभने तिनीहरू माछा समाउँथे र बेच्थे। BSB BSB: As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.
19 UDB येशूले तिमीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “मसँग आओ, र मेरा चेलाहरू हुनलाई मानिसहरू कसरी जम्मा गर्नुपर्छ, म तिमीहरूलाई सिकाउने छु। म तिमीहरूलाई मानिसहरू पक्रिने काम दिने छु।” BSB BSB: “Come, follow Me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.”
20 UDB तिनीहरूले गर्दै रहेका कामलाई तिनीहरूले तुरुन्तै छोडे र उहाँसँग गए। BSB BSB: And at once they left their nets and followed Him.
21 UDB उहाँहरू तिनैजना त्यहाँबाट हिंड्नुहुँदा, यशूले अरू दुईजना मानिसहरू, याकूब र तिनका भाइ यूहन्नालाई देख्नुभयो। तिनीहरू आफ्ना पिता जब्दियासँग ढुङ्गामा आफ्ना माछा मार्ने जालहरू मर्मत गर्दै थिए। येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो कि तिनीहरूले आफ्ना काम छोड्नुपर्छ र उहाँसँग जानुपर्छ। BSB BSB: Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets. Jesus called them,
22 UDB तुरुन्तै तिनीहरूले पनि आफ्ना डुङ्गा र आफ्ना बुबालाई छाोडे र येशूसँग गए। BSB BSB: and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed Him.
24 UDB जब सिरिया जिल्लाको अरू भागहरूमा बसोबास गर्ने मानिसहरूले उहाँले गर्नुभएको कामको बारेमा सुने, बिरामीले ग्रस्त मानिसहरू, विभिन्न रोगले ग्रस्त मानिसहरू, गम्भीर दुखाइले ग्रस्त मानिसहरू, भूतहरूले अधीन गरेका मानिसहरू, छारे रोगहरू लागेका मानिसहरू र पक्षघात भएका मानिसिहरूलाई तिनीहरूले उहाँकहाँ ल्याए। र येशूले उनीहरूलाई निको पार्नु भयो। BSB BSB: News about Him spread all over Syria, and people brought to Him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering acute pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and He healed them.
25 UDB त्यसपछि ठुला भिडहरू उहाँको पछि जान लागे। तिनीहरू गालीलबाट, दश सहरहरूबाट, यरूशलेम सहरबाट, यहूदिया प्रान्तको अरू भागहरूबाट, र यर्दन नदीको पूर्वी क्षेत्रहरूबाट आएका मानिसहरू थिए। BSB BSB: Large crowds followed Him, having come from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.
