2 UDB यसैले तिमीहरूले गरीबहरूलाई केही कुरा दिंदा, तुरही बजाएझैँ, अरू मानिसहरूले त्यसको जानकारी नपाओस्। मानिसहरूले तिनीहरूको प्रशंसा गरून् भनेर कपटीहरूले सभाघरहरू र बाटोहरूमा त्यसो गर्छन्। कपटीहरूले पाउने इनाम त्यति मत्रै हो! BSB BSB: So when you give to the needy, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward.
3 UDB तिनीहरूले गरेजस्तै गर्नुको साटोमा, तिमीहरूले गरीबहरूलाई केही कुरा दिंदा, तिमीहरूले जे गर्दै छौ त्यो अरू मानिसहरूलाई जानकारी नदेओ। BSB BSB: But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
4 UDB त्यसरी तिमीहरूले गरीबहरूलाई गुप्तमा दिने छौ। परिणामस्वरूप, तिमीहरूले गरेका काम अरू कसैले नदेखे पनि तिमीहरूलाई हेर्नुहुने परमेश्वर तिमीहरूका पिताले तिमीहरूलाई इनाम दिनुहुने छ। BSB BSB: so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
5 UDB “अझ अरू तिमीहरूले प्रार्थना गर्दा, कपटीहरूले जे गर्छन् त्यो नगर। अरू मानिसहरूले तिनीहरूलाई देख्ने छन् र तिनीहरूका बारेमा उच्च विचार राख्ने छन् भनेर तिनीहरू प्रार्थना गर्नलाई सभाघरहरूमा र मुख्य बाटोहरूका छेउमा खडा हुन मन पराउँछन्। तिनीहरूले पाउने इनाम त्यति मत्रै हो। BSB BSB: And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward.
6 UDB तर तिमीहरूका बारेमा, जब तिमीहरू प्रार्थना गर्छौ, आफ्नो गुप्त कोठामा जाऊ र कसैले नदेख्ने तिमीहरूका पिता परमेश्वरसँग प्रार्थना गर्नलाई ढोका बन्द गर। उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई हेर्नुहुन्छ र तिमीहरूलाई इनाम दिनुहुने छ। BSB BSB: But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
7 UDB तिमीहरूले प्रार्थना गर्दा, परमेश्वरलाई नचिन्ने मानिसहरूले प्रार्थना गर्दाजस्तै शब्दहरूलाई धेरैपल्ट नदोर्याऊ। तिनीहरूले विचार गर्छन् कि यदि तिनीहरूले धेरै शब्दहरूको प्रयोग गरे भने तिनीहरूका देवताहरूले तिनीहरूको प्रार्थना सुन्छन् र तिनीहरूले मागेका कुरा दिन्छन्। BSB BSB: And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard.
8 UDB तिनीहरूले गरेजस्तै शब्दहरू नदोर्याऊ, किनभने तिमीहरूले उहाँसँग माग्नुभन्दा पहिले नै तिमीहरूलाई के खाँचो छ भनी परमेश्वर तिमीहरूका पिताले जान्नुहुन्छ। BSB BSB: Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
9 UDB यसैले यसरी प्रार्थना गरः ‘पिता, तपाईं जो स्वर्गमा हुनुहुन्छ, हरेकले तपाईंको आदर गरून्। BSB BSB: So then, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
10 UDB हरेक व्यक्ति र हरेक कुरामा पूर्णरूपमा तपाईंको राज्य होस्। तपाईंले इच्छा गर्नुभएजस्तै पृथ्वीमा हरेक कुरा हुन आओस्, जसरी स्वर्गमा हुन आउँछ। BSB BSB: Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
11 UDB हामीलाई प्रत्येक दिन त्यो दिनको निम्ति आवश्यक भोजन दिनुहोस्। BSB BSB: Give us this day our daily bread.
12 UDB हाम्रा पापहरू क्षमा गर्नुहोस्, जसरी हाम्रा विरुद्धमा पाप गरेका मानिसहरूलाई हामी क्षमा गर्छौं। BSB BSB: And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 UDB हामी परीक्षामा पर्दा, हामीलाई खराब कुराहरू गर्नबाट जोगाउनुहोस्, र शैतानले हामीलाई हानि गर्न खोज्दा हामीलाई छुटकारा दिनुहोस्।’ BSB BSB: And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’
14 UDB तिमीहरूको विरूद्धमा पाप गर्ने मानिसहरूलाई क्षमा गर, किनभने, यदि तिमीहरूले गर्यौ भने, परमेश्वर, स्वर्गमा हुनुहुने तिमीहरूका पिताले तिमीहरूका पापहरू क्षमा गर्नुहुने छ। BSB BSB: For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15 UDB तर यदि तिमीहरूले अरू मानिसहरूलाई क्षमा गरेनौ भने परमेश्वरले पनि तिमीहरूको पापहरू क्षमा गर्नुहुने छैन। BSB BSB: But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours.
16 UDB जब परमेश्वरलाई खुशी पार्नलाई तिमीहरूले खाना खाँदैनौ तब उदास देखा नपर जस्तो कपटीहरू देखिन्छन्। तिनीहरूले खाना खाइ रहेका छैनन् भनी मानिसहरूलाई देखाउनको निम्ति तिनीहरूले आफ्नो अनुहार उदास देखिने बनाउँछन्। याद राख कि ती मानिसहरूले पाउने इनाम त्यति मत्रै हो! BSB BSB: When you fast, do not be somber like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward.
17 UDB त्यसको साटो, तिमीहरू प्रत्यकले, जब तिमीहरू खाना खाँदैनौ, आफ्नो कपाल कोर्नुपर्छ र सदाझैँ आफ्नो अनुहार धुनुपर्छ, BSB BSB: But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face,
18 UDB यसकारण तिमीहरू उपवास बसेका छौ भनेर अरू मानिसहरूले थाहा पाउने छैनन्। तर कसैले देख्न नसक्ने परमेश्वर तिमीहरूका पिताले तिमीहरूले खाना खाँदै छैनौ भनी हेर्नुहुने छ। कसैले तिमीहरूलाई नदेखे तापनि उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई देख्नुहुन्छ, र उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई इनाम दिनुहुने छ। BSB BSB: so that your fasting will not be obvious to men, but only to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
19 UDB आफ्नो निम्ति यस पृथ्वीमा स्वार्थपूर्णरूपले पैसा र भौतिक कुराहरू धेरै मात्रमा जम्मा नगर, किनभने पृथ्वी नै हो जहाँ हरेक कुरा नष्ट हुन्छन्– जहाँ किराहरूले लुगालाई सखाप पार्छन्, धातुहरूलाई खियाले नाश गर्छन्, र चोरहरूले अरू मानिसहरूका सामान चोर्छन्। BSB BSB: Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
20 UDB यसको साटोमा, परमेश्वरलाई खुशी पार्ने कामहरू गर ता कि तिमीहरूले स्वर्गमा धन-सम्पति जम्मा गर्छौ। स्वर्गमा कुनै कुरा पनि नाश हुँदैन। स्वर्गमा किराहरूले लुगा सखाप पार्ने छैनन्, त्यहाँ खियाँ छैन, र त्यहाँ चोरहरू छैनन् जसले चोर्न सक्छन्। BSB BSB: But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
21 UDB याद गर कि तिमीहरूका निम्ति जे सबभन्दा महत्त्वपूर्ण हुन्छ, त्यसकै बारेमा तिमीहरूले सोच्दै रहने छौ। BSB BSB: For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
22 UDB “तिमीहरूका आखाँ तिमीहरूका शारीरको निम्ति बत्ती जस्तै हो, किनभने तिनीहरूले तिमीहरूलाई कुराहरू देख्न सक्ने बनाउँछ। यसैले यदि परमेश्वरले जसरी कुराहरू हेर्नुहुन्छ त्यसरी तिमीहरूले ती हेर्छौ भने, त्यो तिमीहरूको सम्पूर्ण शरीर नै ऊज्यालो भएजस्तै हुने छ। BSB BSB: The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light.
23 UDB तर तिमीहरूका आखाँ खराब छन् भने, तिमीहरूले कुराहरू राम्रोसँग देख्न सक्दैनौ। तिमीहरू पुरा अन्धकारमा हुने छौ। तिमीहरू कति लालची हुने छौ! BSB BSB: But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 UDB “कसैले पनि एकै समयमा दुई भिन्न मालिकहरूको सेवा गर्न सक्दैन। यदि उसले त्यसो गर्ने कोसिस गर्यो भने, उसले तिनीहरूमध्ये एउटालाई घृणा गर्छ र अर्कोलाई प्रेम गर्छ, वा तिनीहरूमध्ये एउटासँग ऊ निष्ठवान बन्छ र अर्कोलाई हेला गर्छ। यसरी नै तिमीहरूले एकै समयमा परमेश्वर र पैसाको आरधना गर्न सक्दैनौ।” BSB BSB: No one can serve two masters: Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
25 UDB त्यसकारणले म तिमीहरूलाई भन्छु कि तिमीहरुलाई बाँच्नको निम्ति आवश्यक पर्ने कुराहरूका बारेमा तिमीहरूले चिन्ता गर्नुहुँदैन। खानलाई पुग्ने खानेकुराहरू र पिउने कुराहरू वा लगाउन पुग्ने लुगाहरू तिमीहरूसँग हुने छन् कि छैनन् भन्ने बारेमा चिन्ता नगर। तिमीहरूले आफ्नो जीवनहरूमा गर्ने व्यवहार ती कुराहरूभन्दा बढी महत्वपूर्ण हुन्छ। BSB BSB: Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
27 UDB तिमीहरुमध्ये कसैले पनि चिन्ता गरेर आफ्नो जीवनमा वर्षहरू थप्न सक्दैनौ। तिमीहरूले एक मिनेट पनि आफ्नो जीवनमा थप्न सक्दैनौ! यसैले तिमीहरूलाई आवश्यक पर्ने कुराहरूको बारेमा तिमीहरूले चिन्ता गर्नुहुँदैन। BSB BSB: Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
28 UDB लगाउन पुग्ने लुगाहरू तिमीहरूसँग हुने छन् कि छैनन् भन्ने बारेमा पनि तिमीहरूले चिन्ता गर्नुहुँदैन। खेतबारीमा फूलहरू कसरी बड्छन् त्यसको बारेमा विचार गर। तिनीहरू पैसा कमाउनलाई काम गर्दैनन्, र तिनीहरूले आफ्नो लागि आफैँले लुगाहरू बनाउँदैनन्। BSB BSB: And why do you worry about clothes? Consider how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor or spin.
29 UDB तर म तिमीहरूलाई भन्छु कि धेरै पहिले जीवन बिताएका सोलोमन राजाले अति सुन्दर लुगाहरू लगाए तापनि, तिनका लुगाहरू ती फूलहरूमध्ये एउटा जति सुन्दर पनि थिएनन्। BSB BSB: Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these.
30 UDB परमेश्वरले जङ्गलका वोटबिरुवालाई अति सुन्दर बनाउनुहुन्छ, तर तिनीहरू जमिनमा थोरै समयको लागि मात्र बड्छन्। तिनीहरू एकदिनमा बढ्छन्, र अर्कोदिनमा तिनीहरूलाई बाल्नलाई मानिसहरूले तिनीहरूलाई अगेनोमा हाल्ने छन्। तर परमेश्वरको निम्ति जङ्गलका वोटबिरुवाभन्दा तिमीहरू धेरै महत्त्वपूर्ण छौ, र तिमीहरू बढी लामो समय जीवन बिताउँछौ। यसैले तिमीहरू जोसँग अति थोरै विश्वास छ, परमेश्वरमा विश्वास गर! BSB BSB: If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
32 UDB परमेश्वरलाई नचिन्नेहरूले त्यस्ता कुराहरूको बारेमा सधैँ चिन्ता गर्दै रहेका हुन्छन्। तर स्वर्गमा हुनुहुने तिमीहरूका पिता परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूलाई यी सबै कुराहरूको आवश्यक्ता छ भनी जान्नुहुन्छ। BSB BSB: For the Gentiles strive after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
33 UDB त्यसको साटो यस कुरालाई सबभन्दा महत्वपूर्ण बनाओ कि परेमेश्वरले समस्त संसारमा राज्य गर्नुपर्छ र उहाँका इच्छाहरू के के छन् ती हरेकले पुरा गर्नुपर्छ। यदि तिमीहरूले त्यसो गर्छौ भने, उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई आवश्यक्ता पर्ने सबै कुराहरू दिनुहुने छ। BSB BSB: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.
34 UDB यसैले तिमीहरूको जीवनमा भोलि के होला भन्ने बारेमा चिन्तित नहोओ, किनभने जब त्यो दिन आउँछ, तिमीहरूसँग चिन्ता गर्नलाई प्रसस्त कुरा हुने छन्। यसैले समयभन्दा पहिले नै चिन्ता नगर।” BSB BSB: Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.
