2 UDB हामीले कसैको बारेमा पनि अपमानजनक कुराहरू भन्नुहुँदैन वा मनिसहरूसँग वादविवाद गर्नुहुँदैन। आफ्ना अभिरुचिहरू पुरा गर्न जोड गर्नुभन्दा अरूहरूलाई उनीहरूका अभिरुचिहरू पुरा गर्न दिनु र हरेकसँग भद्रतासाथ व्यवहार गर्नु असल हुन्छ। BSB BSB: to malign no one, and to be peaceable and gentle, showing full consideration to everyone.
3 UDB किनभने एक समय हामी पनि यी कुराहरूबारे लापरवाह र अविश्वस्त थियौँ। हामी बरालिएका र उनीहरूका दासहरू भए जस्तै गरी हामीले विविध लालसाहरू र विलासिताहरूका सेवा गर्यौँ। हामी मानिसहरूलाई घृणा गर्ने तुल्याउँथ्यौँ र हामी एक अर्कालाई पनि घृणा गर्थ्यौं। BSB BSB: For at one time we too were foolish, disobedient, misled, and enslaved to all sorts of desires and pleasures—living in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.

5 UDB उहाँले हामीलाई भित्रबाट शुद्ध पारेर, नयाँ जन्म दिएर, र पवित्र आत्माद्वारा नयाँ बनाएर हामीलाई बचाउनुभयो। हामीले राम्रो काम गर्ने भएकाले उहाँले हामीलाई बचाउनुभएको होइन, तर उहाँ दयालु हुनुभएकोले हामीलाई बचाउनुभयो। BSB BSB: He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
6 UDB येशू मसीहले हामीलाई बचाउनु हुँदा परमेश्वरले हामीलाई उदारतापूर्वक उहाँका पवित्र आत्मा दिनुभयो। BSB BSB: This is the Spirit He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 UDB यो वरदानद्वारा, परमेश्वरले हामी र उहाँबिच सबै थोक ठिक भएको घोषणा गर्नुभएको छ। अनि त्योभन्दा बढी, येशूले हामीलाई दिनुपर्ने सबै कुरामा, विशेष गरी उहाँसँगको अनन्त जीवनमा हामी सहभागी हुनेछौँ। BSB BSB: so that, having been justified by His grace, we would become heirs with the hope of eternal life.
8 UDB यो भरोसा गर्न सकिने भनाइ हो। म चाहन्छु, कि तिमीले यी कुराहरूमा जोड दिइरह, ताकि परमेश्वरमा विश्वास गर्नेहरूले उहाँले तिनीहरूका अघि राख्नुभएका असल र उपयोगी थोकहरू गर्नमा निरन्तर रूपमा समर्पित होऊन्। यी कुराहरू सबैका लागि उत्तम र लाभदायक छन्। BSB BSB: This saying is trustworthy. And I want you to emphasize these things, so that those who have believed God will take care to devote themselves to good deeds. These things are excellent and profitable for the people.
9 UDB तर अर्थहीन वादविवाद, यहूदी वंशावलीहरूबारे भएका उल्झनहरू, धार्मिक व्यवस्थाहरूबारे भएको वादविवाद र झगडाबाट टाढै बस। ती तिम्रो समय र खुबीको अनुपयोगी बरबादी मात्र हुन्। BSB BSB: But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, arguments, and quarrels about the law, because these things are pointless and worthless.
10 UDB तिमीले एक वा दुई पटक चेतावनी दिएर पनि यदि मानिसहरू विभाजन ल्याउने यी क्रियाकलापहरूमा लगिरहन्छन् भने तिनीहरूसँग कुनै सरोकार हुँदैन। BSB BSB: Reject a divisive man after a first and second admonition,
11 UDB किनभने त्यस्ता मानिसहरू सत्यताबाट बहकिएका हुन्छन्; तिनीहरू पापमा जिउँछन् र आफैँलाई दण्डज्ञा दिन्छन्। BSB BSB: knowing that such a man is corrupt and sinful; he is self-condemned.
12 UDB जब म अर्तिमास वा तुखिकसलाई तिमीकहाँ पठाउँछु, निकोपोलि नगरमा आउन सक्दो प्रयास गर, किनभने मैले त्यहाँ हिउँद बिताउने निर्णय गरेको छु। BSB BSB: As soon as I send Artemas or Tychicus to you, make every effort to come to me at Nicopolis, because I have decided to winter there.

14 UDB हाम्रा मानिसहरू अरू मानिसहरूका खाँचाहरू पुरा गर्ने असल कामहरूमा लागून् भन्ने कुरामा निश्चिय होऊ। यदि तिनीहरूले यसो गर्छन् भने तिनीहरूले परमेश्वरको निम्ति फल फलाइरहेका हुनेछन्। BSB BSB: And our people must also learn to devote themselves to good works in order to meet the pressing needs of others, so that they will not be unfruitful.
