2 ULB "Ry zanak'olona, inona no mahatsara ny tahom-boaloboka bebe kokoa noho ny hazo rehetra misy rantsana izay eo amin'ireo hazo ao an'ala? BSB BSB: “Son of man, how does the wood of the vine surpass any other branch among the trees in the forest?
3 ULB Moa ve ny olona maka hazo avy amin'ny tahom-boaloboka mba hanaovana zavatra? Na moa ve izy ireo manao fanantonana avy amin'izany mba hanantonan-javatra? BSB BSB: Can wood be taken from it to make something useful? Or can one make from it a peg on which to hang utensils?
4 ULB Indro! Raha atsipy anaty afo atao kitay izany, ary raha nandoro ny morony roa sy ny eo afovoany ny afo, moa mbola tsara hanaovan-javatra ve izany? BSB BSB: No, it is cast into the fire for fuel. The fire devours both ends, and the middle is charred. Can it be useful for anything?
5 ULB Indro! Rehefa tanteraka izany, dia tsy afaka hanaovana na inona na inona; azo antoka avy eo fa, rehefa nirehitra ilay afo, dia tsy mbola azo hanaovana na inona na inona izany. BSB BSB: Even when it was whole, it could not be made useful. How much less can it ever be useful when the fire has consumed it and charred it!
6 ULB Noho izany ny Tompo Yaveh dia milaza izao: Tsy toy ireo hazo any an'ala, efa nanome ny tahom-boaloboka ho kitay ho an'ny afo Aho; hanao tahaka izany koa Aho amin'ireo mponin'i Jerosalema. BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Like the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so I will give up the people of Jerusalem.
7 ULB Fa hanohitra azy ireo ny tavako. Na dia mivoaka avy ao amin'ny afo aza izy ireo, dia handevona azy ireo ny afo; dia ho fantatrareo fa Izaho no Yaveh, rehefa nanohitra azy ireo ny tavako. BSB BSB: And I will set My face against them. Though they may have escaped the fire, yet another fire will consume them. And when I set My face against them, you will know that I am the LORD.
8 ULB Avy eo hataoko any amin'ny tany foana ilay tany satria nanota izy ireo—izany no fanambaran'i Yaveh." BSB BSB: Thus I will make the land desolate, because they have acted unfaithfully,’ declares the Lord GOD.”
