1 ULB Eis que a mão de Yahweh não está tão encolhida, para que não possa salvar, nem tão surdo o Seu ouvido, para que não consiga ouvir. BSB BSB: Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear.
2 ULB Contudo, teus atos pecaminosos fazem separação entre ti e teu Deus; por causa dos teus pecados, Ele escondeu de ti o Seu rosto para não te ouvir. BSB BSB: But your iniquities have built barriers between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He does not hear.
3 ULB Porque as tuas mãos estão contaminadas com sangue e teus dedos, com pecado. Teus lábios falam mentiras e tuas línguas falam maldade. BSB BSB: For your hands are stained with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, and your tongue mutters injustice.
4 ULB Não há quem clame com justiça e ninguém apela por teus direitos com verdade. Eles confiam em palavras vãs e contam mentiras; eles criam problemas e dão à luz o pecado. BSB BSB: No one calls for justice; no one pleads his case honestly. They rely on empty pleas; they tell lies; they conceive mischief and give birth to iniquity.
5 ULB Eles chocam ovos de cobras venenosas e tecem teias de aranha; os que comem dos seus ovos, morrerão; e, se um ovo é esmagado, saem dele cobras venenosas. BSB BSB: They hatch the eggs of vipers and weave a spider’s web. Whoever eats their eggs will die; crack one open, and a viper is hatched.
6 ULB As suas teias não podem ser usadas como roupa e elas também não poderão se vestir com o seu próprio trabalho; suas obras são obras pecaminosas e atos de violência estão em suas mãos. BSB BSB: Their cobwebs cannot be made into clothing, and they cannot cover themselves with their works. Their deeds are sinful deeds, and acts of violence are in their hands.
7 ULB Seus pés correm para o mal e eles se apressam em derramarem sangue inocente. Seus pensamentos são pensamentos de pecado; violência e destruição são os teus caminhos. BSB BSB: Their feet run to evil; they are swift to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are sinful thoughts; ruin and destruction lie in their wake.
8 ULB O caminho da paz, eles não o conhecem e não há justiça em seus passos. Fizeram para si estradas tortuosas; quem anda por estas estradas não conhece a paz. BSB BSB: The way of peace they have not known, and there is no justice in their tracks. They have turned them into crooked paths; no one who treads on them will know peace.
9 ULB Portanto, a justiça está longe de nós, nem a retidão nos alcança. Esperamos pela luz, eis que só há trevas; procuramos pelo resplendor, mas andamos na escuridão. BSB BSB: Therefore justice is far from us, and righteousness does not reach us. We hope for light, but there is darkness; for brightness, but we walk in gloom.
10 ULB Nós tocamos as paredes como os cegos, como aqueles que não conseguem ver. Nós tropeçamos ao meio-dia como se fosse noite; entre os fortes, nós somos como os mortos. BSB BSB: Like the blind, we feel our way along the wall, groping like those without eyes. We stumble at midday as in the twilight; among the vigorous we are like the dead.
11 ULB Bramamaos que nem ursos e gememos que nem pombos; esperamos por justiça, mas não há nenhuma; por salvação, mas ela está longe de nós. BSB BSB: We all growl like bears and moan like doves. We hope for justice, but find none, for salvation, but it is far from us.
12 ULB Pois as nossas transgressões se multiplicam diante de Ti e os nossos pecados são provas contra nós; as nossas transgressões estão conosco e conhecemos os nossos pecados. BSB BSB: For our transgressions are multiplied before You, and our sins testify against us. Our transgressions are indeed with us, and we know our iniquities:
13 ULB Transgredimos, negando a Yahweh, e nos desviamos de seguir o nosso Deus. Pregamos a opressão e a rebelião, dando à luz a reclamação do coração e palavras mentirosas. BSB BSB: rebelling and denying the LORD, turning away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering lies from the heart.
14 ULB A justiça retrocedeu e a integridade está longe; a verdade tropeça em praças públicas e a retidão não pode vir. BSB BSB: So justice is turned away, and righteousness stands at a distance. For truth has stumbled in the public square, and honesty cannot enter.
15 ULB A verdade desfalece e aquele que vira as costas para maldade torna-se uma vítima. Yahweh o viu e ficou insatisfeito, pois não havia justiça. BSB BSB: Truth is missing, and whoever turns from evil becomes prey. The LORD looked and was displeased that there was no justice.
16 ULB Ele viu que não havia nenhum homem e ficou surpreso por não haver ninguém que intercedesse. Portanto, o Seu próprio braço trouxe a salvação e Sua retidão supriu. BSB BSB: He saw that there was no man; He was amazed that there was no one to intercede. So His own arm brought salvation, and His own righteousness sustained Him.
17 ULB Vestiu-Se de justiça como de uma couraça e pôs o capacete da salvação em Sua cabeça; vestiu-Se com roupas de vingança e Se cobriu de zelo como um manto. BSB BSB: He put on righteousness like a breastplate, and the helmet of salvation on His head; He put on garments of vengeance and wrapped Himself in a cloak of zeal.
18 ULB Ele os retribuiu segundo as suas obras, ira aos Seus adversários e vingança aos Seus inimigos; às ilhas, punição como recompensa. BSB BSB: So He will repay according to their deeds: fury to His enemies, retribution to His foes, and recompense to the islands.
19 ULB Temerão o nome de Yahweh desde o oeste e a Sua glória desde o nascer do sol; porque Ele virá como uma correnteza impetuosa, dirigida pelo Espírito de Yahweh. BSB BSB: So shall they fear the name of the LORD where the sun sets, and His glory where it rises. For He will come like a raging flood, driven by the breath of the LORD.
20 ULB "Um Redentor virá até Sião e virá para aqueles que se desviam dos atos rebeldes de Jacó". Esta é a declaração de Yahweh. BSB BSB: “The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who turn from transgression,” declares the LORD.
21 ULB "E, quanto a Mim, este é a Meu acordo com eles"— diz Yahweh: "O Meu Espírito está sobre ti e as Minhas palavras, que coloquei em tua boca, não se apartarão dela, nem da boca de teus filhos, nem da boca dos filhos dos teus filhos, desde agora e para sempre"— diz Yahweh. BSB BSB: “As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD. “My Spirit will not depart from you, and My words that I have put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth or from the mouths of your children and grandchildren, from now on and forevermore,” says the LORD.
