1. 1SPABLLEl Señor Yahvé me mostró esto: vi una canasta de fruta de verano.BSBBSB: This is what the Lord GOD showed me: I saw a basket of summer fruit.
2. 2SPABLLÉl me preguntó: “Amós, ¿qué ves?”. Yo respondí: “Una canasta de fruta de verano”. Entonces Yahvé me dijo: “Ha llegado el fin para mi pueblo Israel; no volveré a pasar por alto su maldad.BSBBSB: “Amos, what do you see?” He asked. “A basket of summer fruit,” I replied. So the LORD said to me, “The end has come for My people Israel; I will no longer spare them.”
3. 3SPABLLEn aquel día, los cantos del templo se volverán lamentos”, dice el Señor Yahvé. “¡Habrá cadáveres por todas partes! En silencio los arrojarán fuera.BSBBSB: “In that day,” declares the Lord GOD, “the songs of the temple will turn to wailing. Many will be the corpses, strewn in silence everywhere!”
4. 4SPABLLEscuchen esto, ustedes que explotan a los necesitados y quieren acabar con los pobres de la tierra,BSBBSB: Hear this, you who trample the needy, who do away with the poor of the land,
5. 5SPABLLustedes que dicen: ‘¿Cuándo pasará la fiesta de luna nueva para que podamos vender el grano? ¿Cuándo pasará el sábado para que abramos la venta de trigo? Entonces achicaremos la medida, aumentaremos el precio, usaremos balanzas trucadas para engañar;BSBBSB: asking, “When will the New Moon be over, that we may sell grain? When will the Sabbath end, that we may market wheat? Let us reduce the ephah and increase the shekel; let us cheat with dishonest scales.
6. 6SPABLLcompraremos a los pobres por dinero y a los necesitados por un par de sandalias, y venderemos hasta las sobras del trigo’”.BSBBSB: Let us buy the poor with silver and the needy for a pair of sandals, selling even the chaff with the wheat!”

8. 8SPABLL¿Acaso no temblará la tierra por esto? ¿No llorarán todos los que viven en ella? La tierra entera se levantará como el río Nilo; se agitará y luego se hundirá, como el río de Egipto.BSBBSB: Will not the land quake for this, and all its dwellers mourn? All of it will swell like the Nile; it will surge and then subside like the Nile in Egypt.
9. 9SPABLLEn aquel día”, dice el Señor Yahvé, “haré que el sol se oculte al mediodía, y en pleno día llenaré la tierra de oscuridad.BSBBSB: And in that day, declares the Lord GOD, I will make the sun go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the daytime.
10. 10SPABLLConvertiré sus fiestas en funerales y todos sus cantos en lamentos; los haré vestirse de luto y que se rapen la cabeza en señal de dolor. Será como el llanto por la muerte de un hijo único, y el final de ese día será de amargura total.BSBBSB: I will turn your feasts into mourning and all your songs into lamentation. I will cause everyone to wear sackcloth and every head to be shaved. I will make it like a time of mourning for an only son, and its outcome like a bitter day.
11. 11SPABLLVienen días”, dice el Señor Yahvé, “en que enviaré hambre al país; no será hambre de pan, ni sed de agua, sino de oír la palabra de Yahvé.BSBBSB: Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord GOD, when I will send a famine on the land—not a famine of bread or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD.
12. 12SPABLLLa gente andará errante de mar a mar; vagarán del norte al oriente buscando la palabra de Yahvé, pero no la encontrarán.BSBBSB: People will stagger from sea to sea and roam from north to east, seeking the word of the LORD, but they will not find it.
13. 13SPABLLEn aquel día, las jóvenes hermosas y los muchachos valientes se desmayarán de sed.BSBBSB: In that day the lovely young women—the young men as well—will faint from thirst.
14. 14SPABLLLos que juran por el ídolo de Samaria, y dicen: ‘¡Por la vida de tu dios, Dan!’ o ‘¡Por la vida del dios de Beerseba!’, caerán para no volver a levantarse”.BSBBSB: Those who swear by the guilt of Samaria and say, ‘As surely as your god lives, O Dan,’ or, ‘As surely as the way of Beersheba lives’—they will fall, never to rise again.”
