5 STF Oni su od sveta; zato govore svetsko i svet ih sluљa. BSB BSB: They are of the world. That is why they speak from the world’s perspective, and the world listens to them.
6 STF Mi smo od Boga; koji poznaje Boga, sluљa nas, koji nije od Boga, ne sluљa nas. Po ovome poznajemo duha istine i duha prevare. BSB BSB: We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. That is how we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of deception.
7 STF Ljubazni, ljubimo jedna drugoga! Jer je ljubav od Boga, i svaki koji ljubi, od Boga je roрen i poznaje Boga. BSB BSB: Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
10 STF U tome je ljubav, ne da smo mi ljubili Boga, nego da je on ljubio nas i poslao Sina svoga da oиisti grehe naљe. BSB BSB: And love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
11 STF Ljubazni, kad je Bog ovako ljubio nas, i mi smo duћni ljubiti jedan drugoga. BSB BSB: Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
12 STF Boga niko nije video nikad; ako ljubimo jedan drugoga, Bog je u nama, i ljubav je njegova savrљena u nama. BSB BSB: No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God remains in us, and His love is perfected in us.
13 STF Po tome poznajemo da smo u njemu i on u nama, љto nam je dao od Duha svoga. BSB BSB: By this we know that we remain in Him, and He in us: He has given us of His Spirit.
14 STF I mi smo videli i svedoиimo da je Otac poslao Sina da spase svet. BSB BSB: And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world.
15 STF Koji prizna da je Isus Sin Boћji, u tome je Bog i on u Bogu. BSB BSB: If anyone confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
17 STF Time je u nama savrљena ljubav, da imamo slobodu na dan sudni; jer, kakav je on, taki smo i mi na ovome svetu. BSB BSB: In this way, love has been perfected among us, so that we may have confidence on the day of judgment; for in this world we are just like Him.
18 STF U ljubavi nema straha, nego savrљena ljubav goni strah napolje, jer strah ima kaznu; a ko se boji, nije savrљen u ljubavi. BSB BSB: There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love.
19 STF Mi ljubimo (Boga), jer je on prvo ljubio nas. BSB BSB: We love because He first loved us.
20 STF Ako ko reиe: "Ja ljubim Boga", a mrzi na brata svoga, laћa je; jer, koji ne ljubi brata svoga, koga je video, ne moћe ljubiti Boga, koga nije video. BSB BSB: If anyone says, “I love God,” but hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.
21 STF I ovu zapovest imamo od njega: koji ljubi Boga, da ljubi i brata svoga. BSB BSB: And we have this commandment from Him: Whoever loves God must love his brother as well.
