11 STF jer sunce sinu s vruжinom i osuљi travu, cvet njezin otpade, i lepota lica njezina propade. Tako жe i bogati uvenuti na svojim putevima. BSB BSB: For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its flower falls and its beauty is lost. So too, the rich man will fade away in the midst of his pursuits.

21 STF Zato odbacite svu neиistotu zloжe i s krotoљжu primite usaрenu reи koja moћe spasti duљe vaљe. BSB BSB: Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and every expression of evil, and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save your souls.
22 STF Budite, pak, tvorci reиi, a ne samo sluљaиi, varajuжi sami sebe. BSB BSB: Be doers of the word, and not hearers only. Otherwise, you are deceiving yourselves.
23 STF Jer, ako ko (samo) sluљa reи, a ne tvori je, on je kao иovek koji gleda svoje prirodno lice u ogledalu. BSB BSB: For anyone who hears the word but does not carry it out is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror,
24 STF Pogledao se, naime, pa otiљao, i odmah je zaboravio kakav je bio. BSB BSB: and after observing himself goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
25 STF Ali koji pogleda u savrљeni zakon slobode i ostane u njemu, i (tako) ne bude zaboravni sluљaи, nego tvorac dela, taj жe biti blaћen u delu svome. BSB BSB: But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom, and continues to do so—not being a forgetful hearer, but an effective doer—he will be blessed in what he does.
26 STF Ako koji misli da je poboћan, i ne zauzdava jezika svoga, nego vara srce svoje, njegova je poboћnost uzalud. BSB BSB: If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not bridle his tongue, he deceives his heart and his religion is worthless.
27 STF Иista i neopoganjena poboћnost pred Bogom Ocem ovo je: obilaziti sirote i udovice u njihovim nevoljama i drћati sebe neopoganjena od sveta. BSB BSB: Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
