5 ULB நீங்கள் பேசுகிறது நீதியென்று நான் ஒத்துக்கொள்வது எனக்குத் தூரமாயிருப்பதாக; என் ஆவி பிரியும்வரை என் உத்தமத்தை என்னைவிட்டு விலக்கமாட்டேன். BSB BSB: I will never say that you are right; I will maintain my integrity until I die.
6 ULB என் நீதியை உறுதியாகப் பிடித்திருக்கிறேன்; அதை நான் விட்டுவிடமாட்டேன்; நான் உயிரோடிருக்கும்வரை என் இருதயம் என்னை நிந்திக்காது. BSB BSB: I will cling to my righteousness and never let go. As long as I live, my conscience will not accuse me.
7 ULB என் பகைவன் ஆகாதவனைப்போலவும், எனக்கு விரோதமாக எழும்புகிறவன் அக்கிரமக்காரனைப்போலவும் இருப்பானாக. BSB BSB: May my enemy be like the wicked and my opponent like the unjust.
8 ULB மாயக்காரன் பொருளைத் தேடி வைத்திருந்தாலும், தேவன் அவனுடைய ஆத்துமாவை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளும்போது, அவனுடைய நம்பிக்கை என்ன? BSB BSB: For what is the hope of the godless when he is cut off, when God takes away his life?
9 ULB ஆபத்து அவன்மேல் வரும்போது, தேவன் அவனுடைய கூப்பிடுதலைக் கேட்பாரோ? BSB BSB: Will God hear his cry when distress comes upon him?
10 ULB அவன் சர்வவல்லவர்மேல் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிருப்பானோ? அவன் எப்பொழுதும் தேவனைத் தொழுதுகொண்டிருப்பானோ? BSB BSB: Will he delight in the Almighty? Will he call upon God at all times?
11 ULB தேவனுடைய கரத்தின் கிரியையைக் குறித்து உங்களுக்கு போதிப்பேன்; சர்வவல்லவரிடத்தில் இருக்கிறதை நான் மறைக்கமாட்டேன். BSB BSB: I will instruct you in the power of God. I will not conceal the ways of the Almighty.
12 ULB இதோ, நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் அதைக் கண்டிருந்தும், நீங்கள் இத்தனை வீண் எண்ணங்கொண்டிருக்கிறது என்ன? BSB BSB: Surely all of you have seen it for yourselves. Why then do you keep up this empty talk?
13 ULB பொல்லாத மனிதனுக்கு தேவனிடத்திலிருந்து வருகிற பங்கும், கொடூரக்காரர் சர்வவல்லவரால் அடைகிற பங்கும் என்னவெனில், BSB BSB: This is the wicked man’s portion from God—the heritage the ruthless receive from the Almighty.
14 ULB அவனுடைய மகன்கள் பெருகினால் பட்டயத்திற்கு இரையாவார்கள்; அவனுடைய கர்ப்பப்பிறப்புகள் ஆகாரத்தினால் திருப்தியாவதில்லை. BSB BSB: Though his sons are many, they are destined for the sword; and his offspring will never have enough food.
15 ULB அவனுக்கு மீதியானவர்கள் செத்துப் புதைக்கப்படுவார்கள்; அவனுடைய விதவைகள் புலம்புவதில்லை. BSB BSB: His survivors will be buried by the plague, and their widows will not weep for them.
16 ULB அவன் புழுதியைப்போலப் பணத்தைக் குவித்துக்கொண்டாலும், மண்ணைப்போல ஆடைகளைச் சம்பாதித்தாலும், BSB BSB: Though he heaps up silver like dust and piles up a wardrobe like clay,
17 ULB அவன் சம்பாதித்ததை நீதிமான் உடுத்திக்கொண்டு, குற்றமில்லாதவன் அவன் பணத்தைப் பகிர்ந்துகொள்ளுவான். BSB BSB: what he lays up, the righteous will wear, and his silver will be divided by the innocent.
18 ULB அவனுடைய வீடு சிலந்திப்பூச்சி கட்டின வீட்டைப்போலவும், காவல்காக்கிறவன் போட்ட குடிசையைப் போலாகும். BSB BSB: The house he built is like a moth’s cocoon, like a hut set up by a watchman.
19 ULB அவன் ஐசுவரியவானாகத் தூங்கிக் கிடந்து, ஒன்றும் இழந்துவிடாமல் போனாலும், அவன் தன் கண்களைத் திறக்கும்போது ஒன்றுமில்லாதிருக்கும். BSB BSB: He lies down wealthy, but will do so no more; when he opens his eyes, all is gone.
20 ULB வெள்ளத்தைப்போல பயங்கள் அவனை வாரிக்கொண்டுபோகும்; இரவுநேரத்தில் பெருங்காற்று அவனை அடித்துக்கொண்டுபோகும். BSB BSB: Terrors overtake him like a flood; a tempest sweeps him away in the night.
21 ULB கிழக்குக்காற்று அவனைத் தூக்கிக்கொண்டுபோக, அவன் போய்விடுவான்; அது அவனை அவனுடைய இடத்திலிருந்து தள்ளிக்கொண்டுபோகும். BSB BSB: The east wind carries him away, and he is gone; it sweeps him out of his place.
22 ULB அவர் இவைகளை அவன்மேல் வரச்செய்து அவனைத் தப்பவிடாதிருப்பார்; அவருடைய கைக்குத் தப்பியோடப் பார்ப்பான். BSB BSB: It hurls itself against him without mercy as he flees headlong from its power.
23 ULB மக்கள் அவனைப் பார்த்துக் கைகொட்டி, அவனை அவனுடைய இடத்தை விட்டு விரட்டிவிடுவார்கள். BSB BSB: It claps its hands at him and hisses him out of his place.
