5 ULB மனிதனுடைய இருதயத்திலுள்ள யோசனை ஆழமான தண்ணீர்போல இருக்கிறது; புத்திமானோ அதை மொண்டெடுப்பான். BSB BSB: The intentions of a man’s heart are deep waters, but a man of understanding draws them out.
6 ULB மனிதர்கள் பெரும்பாலும் தங்களுடைய தாராள குணத்தை பிரபலப்படுத்துவார்கள்; உண்மையான மனிதனைக் கண்டுபிடிப்பவன் யார்? BSB BSB: Many a man proclaims his loving devotion, but who can find a trustworthy man?

11 ULB பிள்ளையானாலும், அதின் செயல்கள் சுத்தமோ செம்மையோ என்பது, அதின் செயலினால் வெளிப்படும். BSB BSB: Even a young man is known by his actions—whether his conduct is pure and upright.
12 ULB கேட்கிற காதும், காண்கிற கண்ணும் ஆகிய இந்த இரண்டையும் கர்த்தர் உண்டாக்கினார். BSB BSB: Ears that hear and eyes that see—the LORD has made them both.
13 ULB தூக்கத்தை விரும்பாதே, விரும்பினால் தரித்திரனாவாய்; கண்விழித்திரு, அப்பொழுது உணவினால் திருப்தியாவாய். BSB BSB: Do not love sleep, or you will grow poor; open your eyes, and you will have plenty of food.
14 ULB வாங்குகிறவன்: நல்லதல்ல, நல்லதல்ல என்பான்; போய்விட்டபின்போ மெச்சிக்கொள்வான். BSB BSB: “Worthless, worthless!” says the buyer, but on the way out, he gloats.
15 ULB பொன்னும் மிகுதியான முத்துக்களும் உண்டு; அறிவுள்ள உதடுகளோ விலை உயர்ந்த இரத்தினம். BSB BSB: There is an abundance of gold and rubies, but lips of knowledge are a rare treasure.

20 ULB தன்னுடைய தகப்பனையும் தன்னுடைய தாயையும் தூஷிக்கிறவனுடைய தீபம் காரிருளில் அணைந்துபோகும். BSB BSB: Whoever curses his father or mother, his lamp will be extinguished in deepest darkness.
21 ULB ஆரம்பத்திலே விரைவாகக் கிடைத்த சுதந்தரம் முடிவிலே ஆசீர்வாதம் பெறாது. BSB BSB: An inheritance gained quickly will not be blessed in the end.
22 ULB தீமைக்குச் சரிக்கட்டுவேன் என்று சொல்லாதே; கர்த்தருக்குக் காத்திரு, அவர் உன்னை இரட்சிப்பார். BSB BSB: Do not say, “I will avenge this evil!” Wait on the LORD, and He will save you.
23 ULB வெவ்வேறான நிறைகற்கள் கர்த்தருக்கு அருவருப்பானவைகள்; கள்ளத்தராசு நல்லதல்ல. BSB BSB: Unequal weights are detestable to the LORD, and dishonest scales are no good.
24 ULB கர்த்தராலே மனிதர்களுடைய நடைகள் வாய்க்கும்; ஆகையால் மனிதன் தன்னுடைய வழியை அறிந்துகொள்வது எப்படி? BSB BSB: A man’s steps are from the LORD, so how can anyone understand his own way?
25 ULB பரிசுத்தமானதை விழுங்குகிறதும், பொருத்தனை செய்தபின்பு யோசிக்கிறதும், மனிதனுக்குக் கண்ணியாக இருக்கும். BSB BSB: It is a trap for a man to dedicate something rashly, only later to reconsider his vows.

30 ULB காயத்தின் தழும்புகளும், உள்ளத்தில் உறைக்கும் அடிகளும், பொல்லாதவனை அழுக்கு நீங்கத் துடைக்கும். BSB BSB: Lashes and wounds scour evil, and beatings cleanse the inmost parts.
