Psalm 106 (ULB)

1அல்லேலூயா, கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் நல்லவர், அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.Hallelujah! Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.

2கர்த்தருடைய வல்லமையான செயல்களைச் சொல்லி, அவருடைய துதியையெல்லாம் சொல்லக்கூடியவன் யார்?Who can describe the mighty acts of the LORD or fully proclaim His praise?

3நியாயத்தைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களும், எக்காலத்திலும் நீதியைச் செய்கிறவர்களும் பாக்கியவான்கள்.Blessed are those who uphold justice, who practice righteousness at all times.

4கர்த்தாவே, நீர் தெரிந்துகொண்டவர்களின் நன்மையை நான் கண்டு, உம்முடைய மக்களின் மகிழ்ச்சியால் மகிழ்ந்து, உம்முடைய சுதந்தரத்தோடு மேன்மைபாராட்டும்படிக்கு,Remember me, O LORD, in Your favor to Your people; visit me with Your salvation,

5உம்முடைய மக்களுக்கு நீர் பாராட்டும் கிருபையின்படி என்னை நினைத்து, உம்முடைய இரட்சிப்பினால் என்னைச் சந்தித்தருளும்.that I may see the prosperity of Your chosen ones, and rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, and give glory with Your inheritance.

6எங்களுடைய முன்னோர்களோடு நாங்களும் பாவஞ்செய்து, அக்கிரமம் நடப்பித்து, தீமைகளைச் செய்தோம்.We have sinned like our fathers; we have done wrong and acted wickedly.

7எங்களுடைய தகப்பன்மார்கள் எகிப்திலே உம்முடைய அதிசயங்களை உணராமலும், உம்முடைய கிருபைகளின் பெருக்கத்தை நினைக்காமலும் போய், சிவந்த கடலின் ஓரத்திலே கலகம்செய்தார்கள்.Our fathers in Egypt did not grasp Your wonders or remember Your abundant kindness; but they rebelled by the sea, there at the Red Sea.

8ஆனாலும் அவர் தமது வல்லமையை வெளிப்படுத்தும்படி, தம்முடைய பெயரினிமித்தம் அவர்களைக் காப்பாற்றினார்.Yet He saved them for the sake of His name, to make His power known.

9அவர் சிவந்த கடலை அதட்டினார், அது வற்றிப்போனது; காய்ந்த தரையில் நடக்கிறதுபோல அவர்களை ஆழங்களில் நடந்துபோகச்செய்தார்.He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up; He led them through the depths as through a desert.

10பகைவரின் கைக்கு அவர்களை விலக்கிக் காப்பாற்றி, எதிரியின் கைக்கு அவர்களை விலக்கி மீட்டார்.He saved them from the hand that hated them; He redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

11அவர்களுடைய எதிரிகளைத் தண்ணீர்கள் மூடிக்கொண்டது; அவர்களில் ஒருவனும் மீதியாக இருக்கவில்லை.The waters covered their foes; not one of them remained.

12அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளை விசுவாசித்து, அவருடைய துதியைப் பாடினார்கள்.Then they believed His promises and sang His praise.

13ஆனாலும் சீக்கிரமாக அவருடைய செயல்களை மறந்தார்கள்; அவருடைய ஆலோசனைக்கு அவர்கள் காத்திருக்காமல்,Yet they soon forgot His works and failed to wait for His counsel.

14வனாந்திரத்திலே ஆசையுள்ளவர்களாகி, பாலைவனத்திலே தேவனைப் பரீட்சைபார்த்தார்கள்.They craved intensely in the wilderness and tested God in the desert.

15அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் கேட்டதை அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார், அவர்கள் சரீரத்திலோ வியாதியை அனுப்பினார்.So He granted their request, but sent a wasting disease upon them.

16முகாமில் அவர்கள் மோசேயின்மேலும், கர்த்தருடைய பரிசுத்தனாகிய ஆரோனின்மேலும் பொறாமைகொண்டார்கள்.In the camp they envied Moses, as well as Aaron, the holy one of the LORD.

17பூமி பிளந்து தாத்தானை விழுங்கி, அபிராமின் கூட்டத்தை மூடிப்போட்டது.The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan; it covered the assembly of Abiram.

18அவர்கள் கூட்டத்தில் நெருப்பு பற்றியெரிந்தது; நெருப்பு ஜூவாலை துன்மார்க்கர்களை எரித்துப்போட்டது.Then fire blazed through their company; flames consumed the wicked.

19அவர்கள் ஓரேபிலே ஒரு கன்றுக்குட்டியையுண்டாக்கி, வார்க்கப்பட்ட சிலையை வழிபட்டார்கள்.At Horeb they made a calf and worshiped a molten image.

20தங்களுடைய மகிமையைப் புல்லைத் தின்கிற மாட்டின் சாயலாக மாற்றினார்கள்.They exchanged their Glory for the image of a grass-eating ox.

21எகிப்திலே பெரிய செயல்களையும், காமின் தேசத்திலே அதிசயங்களையும், சிவந்த கடலினருகில் பயங்கரமானவைகளையும் செய்தவராகிய,They forgot God their Savior, who did great things in Egypt,

22தங்களுடைய இரட்சகரான தேவனை மறந்தார்கள்.wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome deeds by the Red Sea.

23ஆகையால், அவர்களை நாசம்செய்வேன் என்றார்; அப்பொழுது அவரால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட மோசே, அவர்களை அவர் அழிக்காதபடி, அவருடைய கடுங்கோபத்தை ஆற்றுவதற்கு, அவருக்கு முன்பாகத் திறப்பின் வாசலிலே நின்றான்.So He said He would destroy them—had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach to divert His wrath from destroying them.

24அவருடைய வார்த்தையை விசுவாசிக்காமல், விரும்பத்தக்க தேசத்தை அசட்டைச்செய்தார்கள்.They despised the pleasant land; they did not believe His promise.

25கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்திற்குச் செவிகொடுக்காமல், தங்களுடைய கூடாரங்களில் முறுமுறுத்தார்கள்.They grumbled in their tents and did not listen to the voice of the LORD.

26அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் வனாந்தரத்திலே இறக்கவும், அவர்கள் சந்ததி தேசங்களுக்குள்ளே அழியவும்,So He raised His hand and swore to cast them down in the wilderness,

27அவர்கள் பற்பல தேசங்களிலே சிதறடிக்கப்படவும், அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தம்முடைய கையை எடுத்தார்.to disperse their offspring among the nations and scatter them throughout the lands.

28அவர்கள் பாகால்பேயோரைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டு, உயிரில்லாதவைகளுக்கு செலுத்தின பலிகளை சாப்பிட்டு,They yoked themselves to Baal of Peor and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods.

29தங்களுடைய செயல்களினால் அவருக்குக் கோபம் மூட்டினார்கள்; ஆகையால் வாதை அவர்களுக்குள் புகுந்தது.So they provoked the LORD to anger with their deeds, and a plague broke out among them.

30அப்பொழுது பினெகாஸ் எழுந்து நின்று நியாயஞ்செய்தான்; அதினால் வாதை நிறுத்தப்பட்டது.But Phinehas stood and intervened, and the plague was restrained.

31அது தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக என்றைக்கும் அவனுக்கு நீதியாக எண்ணப்பட்டது.It was credited to him as righteousness for endless generations to come.

32மேரிபாவின் தண்ணீர்களிடத்திலும் அவருக்குக் கடுங்கோபம் மூட்டினார்கள்; அவர்களினால் மோசேக்கும் பொல்லாப்பு வந்தது.At the waters of Meribah they angered the LORD, and trouble came to Moses because of them.

33அவர்கள் அவன் ஆவியைத் துக்கப்படுத்தினதினாலே, தன்னுடைய உதடுகளினால் பதறிப்பேசினான்.For they rebelled against His Spirit, and Moses spoke rashly with his lips.

34கர்த்தர் தங்களுக்குச் சொன்னபடி, அவர்கள் அந்த மக்களை அழிக்கவில்லை.They did not destroy the peoples as the LORD had commanded them,

35தேசங்களுடனே கலந்து, அவர்களுடைய செயல்களைக் கற்று;but they mingled with the nations and adopted their customs.

36அவர்களுடைய சிலைகளை வழிபட்டார்கள்; அவைகள் அவர்களுக்குக் கண்ணியானது.They worshiped their idols, which became a snare to them.

37அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய மகன்களையும் தங்களுடைய மகள்களையும் பிசாசுகளுக்குப் பலியிட்டார்கள்.They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.

38அவர்கள் கானான் தேசத்து சிலைகளுக்கு பலியிட்டு, தங்களுடைய மகன்கள் மகள்களுடைய குற்றமில்லாத இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தினார்கள்; தேசம் இரத்தத்தால் தீட்டுப்பட்டது.They shed innocent blood—the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood.

39அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய செயல்களினால் அசுத்தமாகி, தங்களுடைய செயல்களினால் வேசித்தனம் செய்தார்கள்.They defiled themselves by their actions and prostituted themselves by their deeds.

40அதினால் கர்த்தருடைய கோபம் தமது மக்களின்மேல் எழும்பினது; அவர் தமது சுதந்தரத்தை அருவருத்தார்.So the anger of the LORD burned against His people, and He abhorred His own inheritance.

41அவர்களைத் தேசங்களுடைய கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; அவர்களுடைய பகைவர்கள் அவர்களை ஆண்டார்கள்.He delivered them into the hand of the nations, and those who hated them ruled over them.

42அவர்களுடைய எதிரிகள் அவர்களை ஒடுக்கினார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய கையின்கீழ்த் தாழ்த்தப்பட்டார்கள்.Their enemies oppressed them and subdued them under their hand.

43அநேகமுறை அவர்களை விடுவித்தார்; அவர்களோ தங்களுடைய யோசனையினால் அவருக்கு விரோதமாகக் கலகம்செய்து, தங்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்தினால் சிறுமைப்படுத்தப்பட்டார்கள்.Many times He rescued them, but they were bent on rebellion and sank down in their iniquity.

44அவர்கள் கூப்பிடுதலை அவர் கேட்கும்போதோ, அவர்களுக்கு உண்டான இடுக்கத்தை அவர் பார்த்து,Nevertheless He heard their cry; He took note of their distress.

45அவர்களுக்காகத் தமது உடன்படிக்கையை நினைத்து, தமது மிகுந்த கிருபையின்படி மனவேதனை அடைந்து,And He remembered His covenant with them, and relented by the abundance of His loving devotion.

46அவர்களைச் சிறைபிடித்த அனைவரும் அவர்களுக்கு இரங்கும்படி செய்தார்.He made them objects of compassion to all who held them captive.

47எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, நாங்கள் உமது பரிசுத்தப் பெயரைப் போற்றி, உம்மைத் துதிக்கிறதில் மேன்மைபாராட்டும்படி எங்களைக் காப்பாற்றி, எங்களைத் தேசங்களிலிருந்து சேர்த்தருளும்.Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name, that we may glory in Your praise.

48இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அநாதியாக என்றென்றைக்கும் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்படத்தக்கவர். மக்களெல்லோரும் ஆமென், அல்லேலூயா, என்பார்களாக.Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say, “Amen!” Hallelujah!
