4 ULB యోగ్యురాలైన భార్య తన భర్తకు కిరీటం వంటిది. భర్తకు సిగ్గు కలిగించే ఇల్లాలు అతని ఎముకలకు పట్టిన కుళ్లు. BSB BSB: A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but she who causes shame is like decay in his bones.
5 ULB నీతిమంతులు చెప్పే ఆలోచనలు న్యాయసమ్మతం. దుర్మార్గుల సలహాలు మోసంతో కూడినవి. BSB BSB: The plans of the righteous are just, but the counsel of the wicked leads to deceit.
6 ULB దుర్మార్గుల మాటలు హత్య చేయడానికి కాపు కాసి ఉన్న హంతకుల వంటివి. యథార్థపరుల మాట వల్ల వాళ్ళు విడుదల పొందుతారు. BSB BSB: The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood, but the speech of the upright rescues them.
7 ULB దుర్మార్గులు పాడైపోయి లోకంలో లేకుండా పోతారు. నీతిమంతుల నివాసం స్థిరంగా నిలుస్తుంది. BSB BSB: The wicked are overthrown and perish, but the house of the righteous will stand.
8 ULB ఒక్కొక్క మనిషి తన బుద్ధి కుశలతను బట్టి ఘనత పొందుతాడు. కపట వర్తనుడు తిరస్కారానికి గురౌతాడు. BSB BSB: A man is praised according to his wisdom, but a twisted mind is despised.
9 ULB తినడానికి లేకపోయినా తన గురించి గొప్పలు చెప్పుకునేవాడి కంటే ఎదో ఒక చిన్న పని- సేవకుడుగా అయినా సరే- చేసుకుంటూ ఉండడం మంచిది. BSB BSB: Better to be lightly esteemed yet have a servant, than to be self-important but lack food.
11 ULB తన భూమిని సేద్యం చేసుకునే వాడికి ఆహారం సమృద్ధిగా దొరుకుతుంది. బుద్ధిహీనుడు వ్యర్థమైన వాటిని అనుసరిస్తాడు. BSB BSB: The one who works his land will have plenty of food, but whoever chases fantasies lacks judgment.
12 ULB దుర్మార్గులు చెడ్డవారికి దొరికిన దోపుడు సొమ్ము కోసం ఆశపడతారు. నీతిమంతుల ఉనికి వర్ధిల్లుతుంది. BSB BSB: The wicked desire the plunder of evil men, but the root of the righteous flourishes.
13 ULB వ్యర్ధమైన మాటల వల్ల కలిగే దోషం ప్రాణాంతకమైన ఉరి వంటిది. నీతిమంతులు ఆపదలను తప్పించుకుంటారు. BSB BSB: An evil man is trapped by his rebellious speech, but a righteous man escapes from trouble.
14 ULB మనిషి తన నోటి మాటల ఫలం మూలంగా మంచితనంతో తృప్తి పొందుతాడు. ఎవరు చేసే పనులను బట్టి వాళ్ళకు ఫలితం దక్కుతుంది. BSB BSB: By fruitful speech a man is filled with good things, and the work of his hands returns to him.
15 ULB మూర్ఖుడు నడిచే మార్గం వాడి దృష్టికి సరియైనదిగా అనిపిస్తుంది. జ్ఞానం గలవాడు మంచి మాటలు ఆలకిస్తాడు. BSB BSB: The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to counsel.
16 ULB మూర్ఖుల కోపం వెంటనే బయట పడుతుంది. వివేకం గలవాడు తనకు జరిగిన అవమానం వెల్లడి పరచక మౌనం వహిస్తాడు. BSB BSB: A fool’s anger is known at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult.
17 ULB సత్యం కోసం నిలబడేవాడు నీతిగల మాటలు పలుకుతాడు. అబద్ద సాక్ష్యం పలికేవాడు కపటపు మాటలు పలుకుతాడు. BSB BSB: He who speaks the truth declares what is right, but a false witness speaks deceit.
18 ULB కత్తిపోటులాంటి మాటలు పలికే వాళ్ళు ఉన్నారు. జ్ఞానుల మాటలు ఆరోగ్యం కలిగిస్తాయి. BSB BSB: Speaking rashly is like a piercing sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
19 ULB నిజాలు పలికే పెదవులు ఎప్పటికీ స్థిరంగా ఉంటాయి. అబద్ధాలు పలికే నాలుక ఉనికి క్షణకాలం. BSB BSB: Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.
20 ULB కీడు తలపెట్టేవాళ్ళ హృదయాల్లో మోసం ఉంటుంది. శాంతి కోసం సలహాలు ఇచ్చేవాళ్ళకు సంతోషం కలుగుతుంది. BSB BSB: Deceit is in the hearts of those who devise evil, but the counselors of peace have joy.
21 ULB నీతిమంతులకు ఎలాంటి హానీ జరగదు. దుర్మార్గులను కష్టాలు వెంటాడుతుంటాయి. BSB BSB: No harm befalls the righteous, but the wicked are filled with trouble.
22 ULB అబద్ధాలు పలికే పెదవులంటే యెహోవాకు అసహ్యం. నిజాయితీపరులను ఆయన ప్రేమిస్తాడు. BSB BSB: Lying lips are detestable to the LORD, but those who deal faithfully are His delight.
23 ULB వివేకం ఉన్నవాడు తన ప్రతిభను దాచిపెడతాడు. తెలివితక్కువ వాళ్ళు తమ మూర్ఖత్వాన్ని బయట పెడతారు. BSB BSB: A shrewd man keeps his knowledge to himself, but a foolish heart proclaims its folly.
24 ULB ఒళ్ళువంచి పనిచేసే వాళ్ళు అధికారం సంపాదిస్తారు. సోమరిపోతులు ఊడిగం చెయ్యాల్సి వస్తుంది. BSB BSB: The hand of the diligent will rule, but laziness ends in forced labor.
25 ULB విచారం నిండిన హృదయం క్రుంగిపోతుంది. దయగల మంచి మాట హృదయానికి సంతోషం కలిగిస్తుంది. BSB BSB: Anxiety weighs down the heart of a man, but a good word cheers it up.
26 ULB ఉత్తముడు తన పొరుగువాడు సన్మార్గంలో నడిచేలా చేస్తాడు. దుర్మార్గుల దుష్ట ప్రవర్తన మూలంగా వారు దారి తప్పిపోతారు. BSB BSB: A righteous man is cautious in friendship, but the ways of the wicked lead them astray.
27 ULB సోమరిపోతు వేటకు వెళ్ళినా ఏమీ పట్టుకోలేడు. చురుకుదనం కలిగి ఉండడం గొప్ప వరం. BSB BSB: A lazy man does not roast his game, but a diligent man prizes his possession.
28 ULB నీతిమార్గంలో జీవం ఉంది. జీవమార్గంలో మరణం అనేది ఉండదు. BSB BSB: There is life in the path of righteousness, but another path leads to death.
