9 PBDT Laie, manurut ku, Hatalla jadie maomah kamie, para rasul, kahoman am terakhir, bera urang am dijatuh hukuman mati; laie kamie jadie tontonan kan dunia, malainkan malaikat-malaikat kalunen. BSB BSB: For it seems to me that God has displayed us apostles at the end of the procession, like prisoners appointed for death. We have become a spectacle to the whole world, to angels as well as to men.
10 PBDT Kamie bungul demi Kristus, tapie kolai bijaksana lalam Kristus. Kamie lomah, tapie kolaie onya. Kolai tahormat, tapie kamie hina. BSB BSB: We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are honored, but we are dishonored.
11 PBDT Sampai wayah itie, kamie kaporan lalue haus, honi pakaian rabit-rincai, ditukuh, lalue hirup marantau. BSB BSB: To this very hour we are hungry and thirsty, we are poorly clothed, we are brutally treated, we are homeless.

13 PBDT Metuh kamie dituduh, kamie manimat honi ramah. Lalu, Sampai wayah itie, kamie jadie rogang dunia wayah itie, isa mula sagala sasuatu. BSB BSB: when we are slandered, we answer gently. Up to this moment we have become the scum of the earth, the refuse of the world.
14 PBDT Aku manulis hal-hal itie bukan ngaruh kolai malu, nyaman honi manyalu kolai samahkan babia am aku kasihi. BSB BSB: I am not writing this to shame you, but to warn you as my beloved children.

BSB BSB: Even if you have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.

17 PBDT Itie am laienya, aku jadie mautus kolai Timotius, ana ku am ku kasihi lalue am satia kalalam Tuhan. Inya akan maingat mengenai jalan-jalan ku lalam Kristus, bera am aku lajar kamanih-manih, lalam satiap ungkup. BSB BSB: That is why I have sent you Timothy, my beloved and faithful child in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which is exactly what I teach everywhere in every church.
18 PBDT Babarapa mula kolai jadie sombong, saolah-olah aku honta akan datang mula ka kolai. BSB BSB: Some of you have become arrogant, as if I were not coming to you.
19 PBDT Amun, aku laca datang kakolai, amun Tuhan bakahona, lalue aku akan maingat bukan laie paner urang am sombong yah, tapie inya kuasa urang. BSB BSB: But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only what these arrogant people are saying, but what power they have.
20 PBDT Laie, karajaan Hatalla honta lalam paner, bukan nya lalam kuasa. BSB BSB: For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.
21 PBDT Apa am kolai dikahona mu? Apa aku harus manguang kolai honi tungkat apa honi kasih lalue roh kalemahlembut? Apakah aku harus datang kepadamu dengan tongkat BSB BSB: Which do you prefer? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and with a gentle spirit?
