1 PBDH Apakah mo kai taok, hai saudara- saudara ko (sebab ko ngumong kone balo dik mengetahui Hukum Taurat), bahwa Hukum Taurat berkuasa atas diri seseorang selama nyo han midek? BSB BSB: Do you not know, brothers (for I am speaking to those who know the law), that the law has authority over a man only as long as he lives?
2 PBDH Kano han lah, nyo perempuan dik nganten terikat secara hukum kone suami de'e selama de'e midek; tetapi jika bonuh de'e kobis, de'e akan dibebaskan sai hukum nganten. BSB BSB: For instance, a married woman is bound by law to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is released from the law of marriage.
3 PBDH Jodi, jika nayong han ncodi osau nahi-nahi biking selagi bonuh bayu midek, de'e akan disebut pezina, tetapi jika bonuh de'e kobis, de'e bebas sai hukum sehingga de'e kai disebut pezina jika nganten ngan nahi-nahi biking. BSB BSB: So then, if she is joined to another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man.
4 PBDH Kano han, saudara-saudarako, mo geh jeh kobis bagi Hukum Taurat melalui tubuh Kristus supayo mo ncodi milik dik biking, yaitu De'e dik jeh dibangkitkan sai kematian sehingga dek dopak menghasilkan buoh bagi Allah. BSB BSB: Therefore, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God.
5 PBDH Sebab, ketika dek bayu midek sais kedagingan, hawa nafsu dosa dik dirangsang oleh Hukum Taurat kijo sais anggota-anggota tubuh dek nyok mengasilkan buoh bagi maut. BSB BSB: For when we lived according to the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in our bodies, bearing fruit for death.
6 PBDH Akan tetapi, untoh dek jeh dibebaskan sai Hukum Taurat, jeh kobis terhadap oneh dik dahulu membelenggu dek sehingga dek untoh melayani sais keadaan baoh menurut Roh, biking menurut hukum hamis dik tertulis. BSB BSB: But now, having died to what bound us, we have been released from the law, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.
7 PBDH Jika muhan, oneh dik akan dek sano? Oneh Hukum Taurat han dosa? Sekali-kali kai! Sebaliknya, ko kai akan ngona dosa kecuali melalui Hukum Taurat, Kano ko kai akan mengerti arti sai mengingini milik nyo biking jika Hukum Taurat kai mengatakan, "nyok menginginkan." BSB BSB: What then shall we say? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed, I would not have been mindful of sin if not for the law. For I would not have been aware of coveting if the law had not said, “Do not covet.”
8 PBDH Akan tetapi, dosa mengambil kesempatan lalu perintah han nyok menghasilkan berbagai macam keinginan sais diriko; sebab tanpa Hukum Taurat dosa akan kobis. BSB BSB: But sin, seizing its opportunity through the commandment, produced in me every kind of covetous desire. For apart from the law, sin is dead.
9 PBDH Hamis ko midek tanpa Hukum Taurat, tetapi ketika hukum han monik, dosa ncodi midek ngan ko kobis; BSB BSB: Once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died.
10 PBDH dan perintah to, dik mengharuskannya mant kone midek, justru memimpinko kone maut BSB BSB: So I discovered that the very commandment that was meant to bring life actually brought death.
11 PBDH Sebab, dosa mengambil kesempatan lalu hukum han nyok menipu ngab membunuhko. BSB BSB: For sin, seizing its opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through the commandment put me to death.
13 PBDH Jika demikian, oneh dik baek han nkonik kematian nyok ko? Sekali-kali kai! Dosalah dik menghasilkan maut inting sais ko lalu oneh dik baek supayo nyata bahwa dosa adalah dosa, ngan lalu hukum han dosa semakin nampak keberdosaannya. BSB BSB: Did that which is good, then, become death to me? Certainly not! But in order that sin might be exposed as sin, it produced death in me through what was good, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful.
14 PBDH Sebab dek taok bahwa Hukum Taurat bersifat rohani, tetapi ko bersifat jasmani, terjual di sigan dosa. BSB BSB: We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin.
15 PBDH Sebab, ko kai mengerti oneh dik dis nkodi kano ko kai nkodi hal dik kuinginkan, melainkan ko nkodi hal dik ko benci. BSB BSB: I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do. But what I hate, I do.
16 PBDH Akan tetapi, jika ko melakukan suatu hal dik kai ingin ko nkodi, ko menyetujui bahwa Hukum Taurat han baek BSB BSB: And if I do what I do not want to do, I admit that the law is good.
17 PBDH Jodi untoh, biking agik ko dik nkodi de'e, tetapi dosa dik midek inting sais ko. BSB BSB: In that case, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
18 PBDH Sebab, ko taok bahwa kai ise hal baek dik midek dik inting sais ko, yaitu inting sais kedaginganko, kano kehendek han ise inting sais diri ko, tetapi nyok nkodi kayuh dik baek han kai. BSB BSB: I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh; for I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.
19 PBDH Sebab, ko kai nkodi perbuatan baek dik ko kehendaki, tetapi ko nkodi hal dik jahat, dik kai kuhendaki! BSB BSB: For I do not do the good I want to do. Instead, I keep on doing the evil I do not want to do.
20 PBDH Jodi, jika ko nkodi hal dik kai ko hendak, han biking agik ko dik nkodi de'e, tetapi dosa dik midek inting sais ko. BSB BSB: And if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
21 PBDH Jodi, ko menemukan hukum to, yaitu: Ketika ko ngulon nkodi hal dik baek, kejahatan geh ise bersama ko. BSB BSB: So this is the principle I have discovered: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.
22 PBDH Sebab, ko kai akan hukum Allah inting sais batinko, BSB BSB: For in my inner being I delight in God’s law.
23 PBDH tetapi ko ntilek hukum biking inting sais anggota-anggota sengoloko dik berjuang melawan hukum akal budiko ngan menawanko kone sais hukum dosa dik ise sais anggota-anggota segoloko BSB BSB: But I see another law at work in my body, warring against the law of my mind and holding me captive to the law of sin that dwells within me.
24 PBDH Ko manusia celako! Osehkah dik akan menyelamatkan ko sai segolo maut to? BSB BSB: What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?
25 PBDH Syukur kone Allah lalu Penompo dek, Kristus Yesus! Jodi, ngan aka budiko, ko melayani hukum Allah, tetapi ngan segolo jasmaniko ko melayani hukum dosa. BSB BSB: Thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with my mind I serve the law of God, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.
